I started Bring Joy because I fell in love with arranging flowers while working as a shop manager in Katy. Since 2017, I've been working hard to grow my company and have recently hired Rebecca who has been with me from the start, offering advice to perfect my arrangements. Originally from the Midwest, I now live in Houston, Texas. Some fun facts about me: I grew up with a big family, shaved my head for a liberating experience, took my first solo flight at 16, and I'm fascinated by psychology. I'm a proud first-gen., Latina & Dallas native who finds joy in every facet of flowers. Growing up, my dad filled my childhood with gardening & my love for flowers sprouted there. In high school, I enrolled in Skyline's High School's floral design program in which my classmates & I learned floral designs basics + the business side of the flower industry. There, I would frequently compete against other high schools & received my Level 1 & 2 certifications by the TSFA. I founded La Fuente de Flores in 2019 & have rebranded as Monarch & Marigold Studio. I'm also a hobby flower grower so quite literally, I'm always surrounded by flowers.

It all started with her brother's wedding. Lien had agreed to craft the floral arrangements for his big day. It went so well that she found herself preparing weekly floral arrangement at their church for the next 12 years. Soon after, Lien committed herself to her career by pursuing classes taught by florist Frankie Shelton, AIFD, & became a certified Texas Floral Designer & member of the American Institute of Floral Designers. She then launched her dream business in 2006, Prestige Events. It began as a small flower shop but evolved into a thriving business. Shortly after opening, she added a linen department, lighting, props & much more.
