“We were honored to host our wedding at Meyers Castle in August 2024 and can’t imagine having our dream day anywhere else. My husband’s been familiar with the venue for years way back when they hosted events at the speakeasy. When he described it to me it sounded too good to be true but after touring the first time words can’t describe how beautiful it is. It’s an absolute dream venue with so many beautiful backdrops and details you don’t need much decor! The garden and statues are stunning! We honeymooned in Italy and have to say this venue rivals any Italian Villa. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The food is amazing and for smaller weddings the Oakroom is so intimate and beautiful. I wish we could relive the day over and over again. It’s so romantic and can fit any size wedding. We didn’t use the bridal suite because it’s a separate fee but found the venues all inclusive rates to be extremely affordable. Our ceremony was in front of the gazebo with the castle in the background but any location would be equally beautiful. If you’re thinking about it let this be your sign it’s just as beautiful in person as in pictures. Our wedding was even featured on Brides as a hidden NWI gem. It’s only 30 min-1 hour outside of Chicago so it wasn’t an issue for guests to get to. Thank you Meyers Castle for hosting our dream day!”

“Fair Oaks Farms was a nice venue for our wedding, though their communication style was a bit minimal on the actual wedding day. The quality of their work and value was very nice - the servers were attentive and helpful throughout the evening. However, when our official reception time was up at 11pm, the staff turned on all the lights and rushed us to gather our belongings and vacate the reception hall immediately. This made the end of our special night feel a bit abrupt and hurried. Overall, Fair Oaks Farms provided a pleasant setting for our wedding, but could improve the communication and transition at the end of the night.”

We are a unique venue that you rent for the entire weekend. You check in on Friday morning and don't check out until Sunday morning. You have all day Friday to decorate and can have your rehearsal & rehearsal dinner that evening. You can stay all night in our large, beautiful farmhouse and be ready to get your hair & makeup done first thing on Saturday morning in our sunroom that showcases the most gorgeous views of the pond, woods & pastures. Saturday you get to say "I DO" and follow that up with the reception you have been excited to throw to celebrate with all your favorite people. When you are exhausted from the fun, you get to stumble across the parking lot & crash in the comfy beds of the house. A huge bonus is that you don't have to shut your party down by midnight...you can go as long as you want. You can clean up on Sunday and check out at 11am. We have the most beautiful sunsets and endless spots for your perfect pictures.

“The Design Barn was the perfect venue! They are very accommodating and will work with you to put your vision together. Alex was so helpful with making our dreams come to life. Jorge makes the BEST food. You don't have to worry about food and drinks. They have a team there to do it all! The venue also includes all your seating, plates/silverware/glasses, linens, cute Photo Booth area, along with tables for your welcome set up. We've been to many venues where you get charged extra for security, plating, linens, extra chairs, etc. They also have plenty of space to have over 200 people! We never felt cramped or crowded. The Design Barn also has beautiful and fun SPACIOUS rooms for the bridal parties. They also have a very cute and fun room for when the bride gets ready. We've been to other venues where there were no bridal suites or they were extremely small. Our bridal party had 9 people on each side so room to get ready was a must. The venue also provides drinks and lunch for when you are getting ready. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. We are so glad we picked the Design Barn. It was PERFECT!!”
