The Drexelbrook did an excellent job hosting our baby shower. Their buffet and dessert bar options were delicious and plentiful. They took good care of our guests who needed vegan, gluten-free options or a kid's meal. One of the highlights of our celebration was a "make your own bouquet" bar for guests. It was an option that Drexelbrook suggested, based on our shower theme. They worked with us to ensure that we could decorate and arrange the space to meet the needs of our event. There is plenty of free parking on site.

When looking at wedding venues we knew that we wanted somewhere that could host all of our wedding day events - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. But we also wanted a venue that would wow our guests. The Penn Museum was the first place we looked and all other venues fell short of its beauty and the energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm of event staff. Our coordinator, Allison, was helpful throughout the whole planning process - she was responsive and accommodating, offering to take us around as many times as we needed. Our wedding day ran smoothly in large part due to her and her catering counterpart, Grace. If you are looking for a one of a kind wedding experience with a truly wonderful staff, look no further than the Penn Museum.

Like a backyard barbecue without the hassle of cooking and cleaning (for someone who doesn’t have a yard!) Cira Green was able to accommodate us with very little fuss. A couple emails back-and-forth and I had exactly what I wanted, they have lots of different food and drink options and I was able to pick what we needed. Good food, nice drinks, a beautiful view and the tent insured everyone would be comfortable rain or shine.

My sister got married at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia this year and it was seriously so much fun! The separate spaces for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing made it really unique and a great experience for all of our guests. While my aunts and uncles needed a break from dancing, they could go into the reading room and relax with a cocktail in hand. The food provided by Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group was INCREDIBLE!!! They offered so much. Between the hanging pretzels and guacamole bar and oysters, to dinner service of delicious choices, to dessert including beignets and cannolis, we were stuffed by the end! And to top it all off we my sister was able to host her after party just downstairs in their speakeasy lounge. I would highly suggest anyone getting married to look at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia for their wedding!

Our guests loved running through the exhibits during our happy hour, the little ones invited were playing in there most of the night. Last but not least our Franklin Hall reception was breathtaking and so much fun! Tara and the FI team made communication and planning a breeze. We held our wedding reception at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in November 2024 as well as hosted our wedding room block. We'd highly recommend for both! We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about Andreea Denes with catering. We've worked with Andreea for about a year and a half now and she feels like family! Andreea is both professional and personable and ensured we knew all our options for a reception at the Loews. Andreea helped us take advantage of all the amazing event spaces the Loews has to offer (cocktail hour on the 33rd floor, reception in the Millennium Hall, after party in Bank & Bourbon) as well as created a custom package for our reception and cocktail hour that reflected everything we could have wanted. Maria and Lena with the room reservation teams were so wonderful to work with, taking amazing care of our families and accommodating all our changes and requests. The entire Loews staff (catering, concierge, front desk, etc) was absolutely wonderful during our stay. Our guests are still commenting on the exceptional service. About a third of our wedding guests stayed at the Loews and expressed it was the perfect location to spend the weekend exploring Philadelphia.

The Curtis Atrium

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 275 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $28,000

With towering columns, radiant skylights, and a grand staircase framing an iconic art deco waterfall, stepping into the historic Curtis Atrium is like entering an era when elegance was natural and luxury was standard. Today the 100-year-old structure hosts downtown Philadelphia’s most timeless weddings, from the airy 12-story chamber where couples recite their vows to the well-appointed wedding suite tucked away in the spacious, delicately detailed cocktail hour mezzanine. When it comes time to dance and dine, custom draperies and lighting transform the atrium to an intimate ballroom — and a canvas for decor both tastefully simple or ornately embellished. A full on-site kitchen, newly installed by Constellation, ensures a fresh, delicious culinary experience for guests at very morsel.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides event staff
  • Historic touches
  • Versatile for various event styles

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Lighting and sound are not included
The Curtis Atrium is a wedding venue unlike any other! The space is huge, right in the heart of the city, and walkable to local hotels and so many historic sites. The room speaks for itself—you need very minimal decor. The high ceilings, stunning floors, and beautiful water fountain make it breathtaking, and the double staircase and balcony create an epic entrance for the reception. Constellation Catering nailed it with the food—our guests couldn’t stop raving about both cocktail hour and dinner, especially the grilled short rib. The staff was also incredible, so pleasant and extremely hardworking. Kumbah, who came on as head of catering during our planning, wasn’t always the most responsive, but she absolutely killed it on the day of the wedding—have trust in her. One tip: make sure to ask for a list of alcohol for the bar or send them exactly what you want ahead of time. Overall, The Curtis Atrium is a dream location for a wedding, and our day was exactly that!

Arch Street Meeting House

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803 to 1811 when need arose of a larger meetinghouse in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Caters to out-of-town guests
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • Lighting and sound are not included
Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!

FringeArts

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $19,500

FringeArts is a unique venue in Old City with two versatile spaces that can be rented separately or together, based on the couple’s vision. Most often the spaces are rented together. Our restaurant can seat 80 or host a standing cocktail reception for 150. FringeArts can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner in their space. The two spaces are separated by a moveable air wall. We can host a ceremony and cocktail hour in the restaurant and in Haas Biergarten right outside, and then open the wall to reveal a dining room space in the FringeArts theater. After dinner, head back out to the main bar and hit up the dance floor, or head outside to Haas Biergarten. Outside we have a bar that is operational May-October, lawn games, fire pits, and a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Provides catering services
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • On-site parking not available
  • No on-site guest accommodations
My husband and I hosted our summer wedding with La Peg at Fringe Arts last summer and it could not have been a more perfect day and the best planning and execution experience, from start to finish. We were an out of town couple planning our wedding here, as we moved from Philly to DC, so communication was really important throughout the process, and everyone we worked with made sure to keep communication open and frequent. We loved how unique La Peg’s atmosphere was for our black & white, modern, elegant black tie wedding. The exposed brick, high vaulted ceilings, and industrial, urban elements juxtaposed perfectly against pure white floral clouds hanging in their theatre space, with dark linens. Everything I had envisioned in my mind came to life perfectly in this space. The first reason we wanted to have our wedding here was because when we lived in Philadelphia, we loved dining here and their food was always incredible. It was even better on our wedding night. We had the best experience hand selecting our menu, having a lot of flexibility and our guests were wowed with the options we selected, along with a bar that was fully stocked and no glass was ever empty. A year later and guests are still raving about how unique our venue was, how incredible the food and drink was, and how seamless the staff made the entire experience. My husband and I say the same. I would do it all over again with them. The absolute best night of our lives. Thank you to everyone at La Peg at Fringe Arts for making our wedding so perfect and memorable!
