The barn and grounds rental generally runs from Friday at 10:00am thru Sunday 1:00pm. This provides ample time for decorating, rehearsal, on-site wedding and the reception. The reception area includes heat and air conditioning, separate women's & men's bathrooms both with multiple stalls and a separate ADA compliant bathroom. Also included are tables and white chairs for the ceremony and reception. We offer a cake display area, amber up lighting into the rafters and all lights can be dimmed. The outside area offers a 10' x 30' front stone patio and an attached 20' x 70' covered deck. Both of these entrances are wheelchair accessible. The new 4992-square foot Finger Lakes venue features a state-of-the-art distilling room that is highlighted by a custom-built, 500-gallon copper, two-stage hybrid pot still/ reflux column still from HBS Copper, the commercial division of Hillbilly Stills in Tennessee.

Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. It’s 90 minutes from New York City, and 30 minutes south of Hudson. It has hosted feasts for generations. Downstairs, intimate dining rooms and fireside lounges are ideal for parties of 8-10 people. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.
