In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Catered meals start at $13.50 per guest, and couples are welcome to bring their own liquor, beverages, snacks, and desserts to help save on costs. Beer and ice are through our affordable off-sale liquor provider. For approximately 200 guests, venue, bar, and meals typically total $10K–$12K, depending on your date (WOW!). We’re a family of winemakers descending from the heart of Europe, making wine in the heart of Minnesota. Here in Millner Heritage Winery & Cidery, we have two main event areas, our pavilion which can easily seat 250 people, or our seasonal indoor dining area which can seat 100 people. Our premier parks are popular venues for wedding ceremonies due to the natural beauty of the Mississippi River. We also have a smaller, more intimate venue along Otter Creek with beautiful gardens and natural surroundings. The park venues are available May through October and beautiful blooming plants and flowers vary with each visit. We have a variety of rental room sizes available! In addition to your wedding, you can host smaller gatherings like your bridal shower at the MCC as well!
