I have loved the concept of photography and taking still shots since I was in elementary school when I got my first camera from Santa. Each year after that, he brought me a new one until my senior year. I ventured over to Best Buy and bought my first DSLR. At that point, I had no clients or any intention of making money from my work. Fast forward some (several) years, I’m an attorney and I only do a few shoots a year, but I am focused on growing my business, especially now that we have moved to the DSM area. VIDART's chief photographer studied at Columbia for film and U of I for foreign languages and philosophy, and went to Loyola for graduate studies. He worked at Lyric Opera of Chicago filming operas before joining VIDART. He is the author of the college textbook Cinematography 101, and has worked with John de Lancie (Q in Star Trek: TNG) on the science documentary The Reality of Time. Michael has also worked on the sets of over a dozen other feature films. He has handled the photography and videography for several thousand weddings and events, including work for clients such as Microsoft, Amazon, Macy’s, Sysco and more.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
