After attending the French Culinary Institute, Danny worked at Momofuku Ko, Isa, Estela, and Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon in Montreal. In 2015, Danny founded Joint Venture as a way to explore how food can bring people together beyond the confines of a restaurant’s four walls. JV is a departure from and reaction to the kitchens of his past. It's about collaborating with friends, reconnecting with nature, and working directly with farmers and producers. JV creates menus that are of the season and expressive of their surroundings. JV is ever-evolving.

Joint Venture cooked some of the best food of our lives for our wedding of 135 people last year in the Catskills. Danny somehow managed to create a menu that was comforting and indulgent, yet nourishing. I'm a musician who's played hundreds of weddings and I've never experienced a caterer close to Joint Venture's level. He also focuses on seasonal ingredients and sustainable farming practices-- even growing some of the food for the meal himself. We couldn't recommend Joint Venture more to anyone looking for a transcendent catering experience that's also down-to-earth (literally).

I had the chance to work with Renee at one of my client's engagement party where she managed the bar and food service for a big swanky summer barbeque. The setup was smooth, her team was incredibly competent, and the bar was a major hit with the guests. While the food for this particular event was casual picnic fare, everything was served efficiently and on time. I've also had the pleasure of trying Renee's hors d'oeuvres at other events, and they were absolutely delicious - she's clearly a talented chef with a great sense for elevated flavors. Her professionalism and ability to manager large crowd really stood out.

We source only the best local ingredients, working closely with farmers, fishers, growers and wild harvesters. We also own and operate an oyster farm and a Cape Cod seafood market - where we have an eye on the highest quality seafood in the area.

Sea State catered a dinner (the “Friday Night Welcome Cookout”) for about 45 people before my daughter’s wedding in Bourne. I chose Sea State for the occasion because their sample menu was full of delicious-sounding items that could fit a casual buffet, and especially for their own Bourne oysters for the raw bar I wanted. They were a pleasure to work with before the event and everyone on their staff seemed enthusiastic about creating a true feast. The meal was fabulous, beyond what I had imagined. At least a dozen guests came up to me to praise the dinner (with many special mentions of the crab cakes and pies). Their raw bar made the oyster-lovers happy and enticed a few folks to try them for the first time (which was one of my goals for the out-of-town guests). Their attention to details showed real care in creating the dishes – there was cheddar available for the apple pie because I had made a passing mention that I liked it that way. All-in-all Sea State helped set the stage for a magic-filled wedding weekend.

We worked with Gunnar’s Hotdogs for a community Holliday Market and they were wonderful! The hotdogs are amazing, the taste is great, and the toppings take the dogs to another level with both taste, texture, and esthetic! The unique style of dogs complimented the European Christmas market vibe we were going for with the event, couldn’t recommend enough!

If you want to impress your guests, book with Boards and Bites! The charcuterie set up at our wedding was the highlight of the night. Our guests really loved their salami roses and the Brie/jam combination. The presentation was stunning and the ingredients were top-notch. We hired Ben for a cocktail hour before our ceremony at a ski lodge in central Mass, and it was a huge hit! Melted raclette cheese was perfect for our theme. Our guests really felt like they were in the Alps. The aroma of the melting raclette was amazing, and the taste was even better. If you're looking for a unique and delicious addition to your event, I would definitely recommend Ben's Raclette!
