Hey! I'm Noni. I love weddings and I love photography. I live in Hartford, Connecticut, and spend most of my days taking photos. My style is playful, vibrant, and natural and I work hard to make my clients laugh and smile. Whether it's a bride and groom or parents with their brand new baby, capturing genuine moments between people is what I do best. As you can probably tell from my work, I'm new to the Northeast. I spent the last four years living and working in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina. I'm swapping out gators for bears, and am loving exploring the new scenery!

Currently living in my hometown of Bristol, Connecticut, I have been a teacher of Social Studies and Psychology for my entire career - only recently having retired. The majority years of my educational career (20) were spent as a teacher in U.S. Embassy / Consulate / and international schools - six countries in all. In my situation, the saying, "It's been a trip" has literally been the case. But wait, there's more! Since I've been 12 years old, I have also been a serious photographer. Talk about the best of two worlds.

Hi! My name is Colleen Humel and I started Colleen Humel Photography when I was gifted my first camera at 16 years old. My love for photography began long before then with my uncle always carrying around his camera taking pictures of everything. I am so thankful for him because now I have countless memories I can look back to. One of the reasons I chose to become a photographer is because I love being able to capture those special memories for others. I was also a collegiate swimmer in my past time which was another reason stopping moments in time became so important to me.

I started photography years ago as an elective in college and I never knew what it would become. I've always maintained full time jobs (I've been a graphic designer and special education teacher) but my passion for photography kept me pursuing it on the side. Eventually I became so consumed by my efforts that I was able to go full time in my business. I care deeply about my clients.
