The estate was granted in 1683 and was a favored stopping ground for George Washington who enjoyed the parties thrown at this elegant and intimate property still nestled in natural woodlands and ag preserved lands.

The Donaldson Brown Riverfront Event Center is a stately setting for an up-scale wedding experience whose tone is evident upon arrival. Located 200 feet atop Mount Ararat, the estate overlooks the Susquehanna River. The manor’s rooms feature original fixtures such as its spiral stairways, arched doorways, antique chandeliers, and subtle wall moldings for an effect of refined elegance. Pass through the arbor where we will pick up the bride in her choice of three wedding carriages and transport her to the wedding site. After the ceremony, bride and groom are seated in the carriage where guests greet them on their way to the reception area.
