“Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“I’m obsessed with Sasha! She’s a true visionary. I had a vision and I let her run with it and she truly executed it ten fold. I’m a chef and I wanted fruits and vegetables incorporated into my florals. She accomplished this design in the most classy and elegant way. There were mushrooms, kale, radish, gooseberries and so much more and my guests loved it and found it so unique. It was all in a beautiful jewel tone palate and matched the vibe of my wedding venue to the T. The florals that she used were so vibrant and unique as well, there were even hollographic flowers (anthurium) from a specialized flower house. Above and beyond! My bouquet was the prettiest bouquet I’ve ever seen and guests kept on telling me how impressed they were with my florals and how they were so Eva. In a happy accident, while looking for a florist to fill his home, Andrew found a job at a local floral design studio in Pennsylvania. From there he has taken off running, developing a style all his own mixing his love of organic and romantic shapes with his editorial eye. After 10+ years in fashion working for companies like Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang, Andrew looks at the world of events like the set of a photoshoot. “Andrew brought our vision to light with the most honest, daring, clear, stunning, and B E A U T I F U L authenticity any bride could dream of. We knew the floral aesthetic were going to be a key to bring component for bringing to life the centering our BIG Black Queer Love. Since it was a very intentional Black queer celebration honoring our love and commitment, the floral choices and expertise Andrew brought was the linchpin to success, from the very beginning with our first "Get-to-know-each-other" call throughout the process including a venue walk-through up right through the big day. He ensured each detail of our wedding arrangements conveyed our intention while centering our rustic elegant color palette -- a compliment to the autumnal mountain backdrop and made us feel so seen. The impeccable creativity Andrew brought to our more traditional accents -- the bridal bouquet and boutonniere, reception harlow stands -- were equally as elevated and aesthetically eye-dropping the energetic accents and more customized requests -- our flower-adorned chuppah, the ceremony wagon for the flower girl, and the floral chandelier. Andrew's energy is infectious and his preparation and seamless operation always gave us one less thing to worry about during the planning process. He uses an online system to track all exchanges and works with you to find inspirational images to ensure what you imagined is what will transpire on the day of. He also went out of his way to understand how his floral arrangement choices would adapt to any new details as planning unfolded, like ensuring the bridal bouquet perfectly replicated the vibrancy of peak fall foliage. I cannot stress enough that Andrew is the way to go!! He will ensure your special day has the visual energy for bringing to life all the love, connectedness, intimacy, excitement, and emotion of your wedding day!”
