“We decided to get married fairly quickly, wanted something reasonably priced, that gave small venue feel. We found Creekside online, they had our date we wanted open still. We were able to come tour it meet with Joni discuss our thoughts and vision and it was a perfect fit. The creek running the back of the property, the tree swing for photos. The inside loft area to get ready. All the small details were exactly what we wanted. Joni & Katie are so prompt and helpful with any questions or needs you might have. “Our reception at Oak Pointe CC turned out to be so beautiful and perfect. Everything was placed where I wanted it to be and looked exactly how I had hoped. The execution of the day was seamless and smooth, and my fiancé and I were VERY happy with how everything turned out that day. We didn't have to worry about anything, except for placing the name cards at the head table. The bridal room came very much in hand for privacy and keeping our personal belongings safe and out of the way during the reception. The grounds looked beautiful and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Servers, kitchen personnel, set up/tear down helpers, bartenders, etc... thank you so much for making our wedding day so wonderful! Food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious, servers and bar tenders all had a good attitude and were friendly, which was very important to me as well. All of our guests seemed to really enjoy themselves, and everyone said how beautiful it was there! Our only criticism was the communication during the "off season". It wasn't the best when it came to confirming the food, setting up the tasting, getting the updated contracts when changes were made, and the other minor details. However, the communication as we got closer to our wedding was much better, and we felt at ease as the day drew nearer. Julianna ended up going out of her way to add in small details for our day to make it look even prettier in the ballroom and she really put her best foot forward as soon as we got there. All in all, we were very happy with how everything turned out, and we want to thank everyone at Oak Pointe Country Club, especially Julianna for going above and beyond what we had hoped, and truly making us feel special on our day :) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The staff was very friendly, straightforward in their communication, and responsive to all our needs. They stocked us up with plenty of firewood and then mostly left us be to enjoy the space. We especially appreciated that they had extra decor and supplies on hand that enhanced our decorations and helped our special day go smoothly. Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens

“We absolutely loved having our wedding at the MSU Horticulture Gardens! We had our ceremony in the North Gardens outside, the cocktail hour in a covered tent right outside of the greenhouse, and the dinner and reception inside of the greenhouse. We had 118 guests and were able to do dinner and dancing inside of the greenhouse comfortably. Everything was set up promptly and was ready to go the day before. Working with the team was very collaborative and they provided lots of options while we were deciding what we wanted our layout to be. Amy was great to work with. They had lots of rental options such as chairs, tables, linens, bar, and backdrop curtain to elevate the space. There was a large walk-in cooler that we were given access to where we were able to keep our desserts and then store flowers/leftovers in over night after the wedding. During our tour we were a bit worried that the greenhouse would be very hot and that the fans would be loud, but they're able to cover the roof and we were able to rent standing fans that kept the venue cool without excessive noise and it totally fine. Everything came together beautifully on the day of and we are so happy with the day overall! We received so many compliments from guests and we would definitely recommend the North Gardens as a wedding venue.”

“We were truly blown away by our experience with FWB. We had the best wedding day, and the venue & service were such a big factor in that. Both Robin & Riley were phenomenal to work with- so patient, quick to respond and always answered the many questions we had. We loved doing the food tasting ahead of the wedding as well as the wine/beer tasting. Riley was there to walk us through the rehearsal the night before and was amazing on the wedding day to coordinate the ceremony and schedule throughout the night. I really appreciated how she checked in with us to make sure we weren’t overwhelmed and made sure that when we did take a minute to take a breath, there was food and drinks in the suite for us. We really loved being able to have the bridal suites for the day- it was awesome. The service for the reception was phenomenal. Staff always ensured we had full plates & drinks so that we could focus on interacting with guests. We cannot overstate how much we love FWB’s food. Not only at the wedding and throughout the tastings, but we had so many guests comment on how amazing all the food was. I highly recommend the rosemary pork and the chicken marsala. The mushroom ravioli was a fan favorite and we heard comments about it all night. Since the wedding we have visited FWB multiple times just to eat there because the food is that good. The coordination of the entire day was seriously flawless and took so much stress off our shoulders. We were able to focus on having fun while they ensured things were set-up, running on time and later taken down without us having to lift a finger (except for our own decor that we brought!). If you’re thinking about choosing FWB for your big day- do it! We had such a great experience and can’t stop talking about it.”

“Venue One Eleven was everything we envisioned and more. The food was AMAZING. We had so many compliments on the food. Highly recommend the salmon & short rib. The venue itself was so spacious & beautiful. It’s pre-decorated which made our lives so much easier and saved us a lot of money in the long run. The courtyard is filled with flowers & was a good place to step away from the dance floor for some fresh air. The stage was perfect for our band & made it feel like we were at a concert! We rented the townhouse about 10 steps across the road from the venue for our wedding parties. It was AMAZING to be so close to the venue for the entire weekend & it is decorated SO cute. It sleeps about 16 guests so our wedding parties didn’t have to worry about driving the night of the wedding & my bridesmaids & I used the top floor to get ready together the morning of. Our coordinator, Alisa, was the biggest blessing we could have asked for. That woman went above and beyond to make our lives as easy as possible. She has worked with many vendors in the area in the past so it made planning the day of timeline much easier for us! Wedding planning can be stressful & expensive, but Alisa managed every stressor & helped to save us money too. We trusted her completely & welcomed any & all of her advice.”

“We had a beautiful wedding at Woldumar and overall, our day was amazing! It was great to have our ceremony and reception all in one place, and my husband and I loved investing in a venue that provides a service to the Lansing community through nature education programs. Our only snag was that Woldumar had several staffing changes during the course of our wedding planning, so communication with staff was not always consistent or clear. Lake Lucy Event Venue offers 140 acres of land with an 80 acre private lake encompassed on the property. There are many well maintained walking trails, plenty of open space and beautiful scenery. There is an option to bring the bridal party on a hay wagon, which makes for some pretty cool pictures. Both the bridal party and the grooms party can opt to get ready in a beautiful log home; usually the bridal party gets ready in the fully finished walkout basement, and the grooms party on main floor. We are located within 5 miles of Wixom, which offers many hotel options. There is currently no structures in the wedding venue area, but have started construction on a pavilion for the 2024 season. “At Lake Lucy, you can fully design the wedding of your dreams. Anything is possible! It’s lovely spot for any event of any size, vibe, theme, celebration, etc. This place truly is a blank canvas to create your own unqiue vision into a reality. Mandi and Andy (the owners) are utterly amazing to work with… Open-minded, kind and professional, they truly supported us every step of the way, even more than I personally could have imagined. I cannot say enough good things… My husband, Brennan, and I were married at Lake Lucy on October 1st, 2022. Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful experience on every level, and our 225 guests were more than pleased with all aspects of the ceremony and reception, including the location, food, outdoor setups, etc. It was a beautiful celebration and the guests enjoyed everything about it, even more than expected. Due to unforseeable circumstances, Brennan and I were forced to pivot and make a lot of stressful, last-minute changes within the two weeks just prior to our wedding date. It was frustrating and overwhelming, to say the least. Mandi and Andy took us under their wing, troubleshooting our sudden issues, providing solutions to all of our setbacks and stress, while aleviating our nerves and personal worries. They helped to pick up the pieces and bring our vision to life in ways we could have never anticipated or wished for. We are forever grateful! Our wedding ceremony was held outdoors, next to the lake. We designed our own alter and held the ceremony in a gorgeous spot. Our reception immediately followed, with large seated tent and dance floor, an outdoor bar setup, yard games, live music, food prepared onsite (giant meat smoker), and more. As dusk hit and the evening set-in, there was a giant bonfire by the lake for guest to enjoy, with musicians roaming playing music, before switching over to a DJ to amp-up the party vibe. The property is massive, secure and secluded. A diret road leads you to a private gravel entrace. Our parking was set near our staging area, with special accomidations for handicapped guests. Mandi and Andy own a stunning, large “log-castle” home at the far end of the lake, but the property is open outside of that! The house is mostly removed from view and from access during a wedding, but they opened their basement to the bridal party for pre-wedding needs, giving my gal pals and I a badass place to get ready and relax prior to the event. The basement has a private walkout entrace, full kitchen/BAR, stone fireplace, bedrooms, huge full bathroom with private dressing room kitchen/BAR, movie thetre for watching sports/films, game room with pool table, etc. My bridesmaids and I felt comfortably pampered in this space as we dressed for the event, we sipped chanpaign and shared laughs as a stylist did our hair and makeup onsite. Photographers joined us there to document it too (Mandi included). They turned out to be some of my favorite photos! Once the bridal party was ready, we boarded the back of Andy’s decorated tractor, and he drove us around the lake, down to the wedding site. We arrived in-style, making a grand entrace to the party as guests were mingling before the ceremony. It was perfect, entertaining and super fun! Lake Lucy is natural oasis of nature tucked away in the woods, approx only 10 minutes from the highway, making it accessible to all travelers and guests. The Pine Tree Barn

“The Pine Tree Barn was a dream venue! The woodsy ceremony space was out of a fairytale and the indoor reception space was so pretty with very little decor needed. Jen was so great to work with and very accommodating to all our needs. We were able to provide our own alcohol and choose any caterer allowing us to keep costs low. I had a wedding of 130 people and it fit everyone accordingly and comfortably. My pictures turned out amazing because of the beautiful barn, the decorations and scenery. “Got married here 5/11/24, the staff was very attentive, food was amazing, and the mansion was so beautiful. The 2 hours before the ceremony were chaotic since rain was on and off and we were unsure if an outdoor ceremony would happen or not. 10 minutes before the ceremony started staff ran out wiped all the chairs, and were able to make it happen! Received tons of compliments on the beauty of the venue, and how delicious the food was. 4/5 stars just because at the end of the night we were pushed out faster than our allowed 30minutes, the manager was literally locking doors as people were walking out of them, and we got a couple complaints about the bar staff. Besides that it was all amazing”
