For 25 years, Debbie poured her heart into helping others as a physical therapist. Then muscular dystrophy slowly took away the career that had become part of her identity. Losing the ability to do the work she loved was devastating What began as a simple joy—arranging silk blooms on the days her body felt heavy—grew into her life’s work. Designing florals became a way to keep showing up for others, to create beauty that doesn’t fade, and to pour love into something she could still do with her whole heart. Every arrangement is made by hand, often petal by petal, with the same dedication she once gave her patients.

I discovered floral design as my love language, roughly 7 years ago, with my sister‘s second wedding. I designed the wedding party florals as well as the ceremony and reception florals. I started an LLC, Joy des Fleurs, and have had great success creating florals for all occasions including weddings, holidays, celebrations of life, birthdays, graduation parties, baby showers proms and a business opening.
