“Having Funk Almighty at our wedding last year was both the cake and icing on top! It’s not just the usual band experience because on top of the great music some of the band stepped onto the dance floor with us, and that just blew our guests away! They danced and sang with us and our guests, bringing an amazing energy that was both intimate and exhilarating for us!! They even did a dance routine that all our guests caught on too and before we knew it everyone was doing the same dance. We looked at quite a few bands and we cannot recommend them enough because they made our wedding feel more like a shared experience with friends than a formal event. It was a highlight for many of our guests and truly showcased Funk Almighty's commitment to not just performing music but creating lasting memories, which was something Daryl promised us right off the bat. “We got married at the Bronx Zoo earlier this year and used Flower Oak as our videographer. Mike was a great videographer to work with - he was calm, kind, and patient. He did a great job of running around to get B roll and captured all of our special moments. He did a great job acting as a fly on the wall when needed and kept us relaxed and in the moment. The final videos (short and documentary) were stunning. They were edited beautifully and easily accessed and shareable. We had a few edits we wanted to make which was absolutely no problem. We even got our videos back before our photos! I also loved that we have access to all of our raw files so we can look back on every moment and hear the true audio. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect.
