We used Azle Deer Cove’s Casita room for our rehearsal dinner. It fit our 50 guests easily and came equipped with a microphone, which made speeches a breeze. They were accommodating and easy to get ahold of. They showed up within a few minutes when we needed some help on the day of the event. We thought the Casita was well worth the money and the grounds are stunning! The owners are very casual.

Everyone at Elm Fork was super helpful and kind, we had gone there a few month prior to the rehearsal dinner just to get a feel for it and instantly went "oh heck yeah this is it". Staff was very kind, they worked with us on how to make our budget be the most efficient, and I think we still got extras because they were so nice. Loved it, super cute, super easy to find for our out of town guests because of the big signage off the highway.

This winery holds such a special place in my heart. The moment we first walked in to tour it as a wedding venue, I could already tell that I loved it! The owners are great, the food and wine is delicious and the building just has such a cool historical, yet contemporary vibe. Soma Winery hosted our wedding on Valentine’s Day 2025 and it was incredible! Our photographer and videographer were able to capture the elements of the downtown area, which really made our captured memories feel so special and unique. The winery provided food and wine, as well as the venue. This was virtually a one stop shop for many of our wedding needs and they made the process so easy. Whether it be for a book club, a wedding, or simply a few glasses of wine and appetizers with friends, I highly recommend Soma Winery!

  • Designed for grand celebrations
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • No in-house catering options
  • No free parking
We booked WED Spaces for our wedding venue and found their communication style to be a mix of email, phone, and online appointment scheduling. While the venue itself was nice enough, we did experience a few issues that detracted from the overall experience. For example, the attendant was present to answer questions, but the security guard did not assist with showing guests where to park as promised. The venue provided round tables for guests, white chairs, cocktail tables, and square catering tables, which met our basic needs. However, we were disappointed that we did not receive any follow-up from the owner after our event.

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545

250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.
