Starting their business in 2013 as planners & designers, their business and passions grew and changed over the years, evolving into full floral design. With 7 years of event planning experience and having done over 250 events since 2013, they understand the behind the scenes of the event planning process and now bring that experience to their floral designs, guiding their couples through important design decisions, like linen colors & table scapes that bring your event style to life.

I am very passionate about my work. I enjoy every aspect of the planning process, from the first consultation down to the final details on the day of the wedding. I’m very detail oriented and I always take the time to pay attention to all of the little details. I LOVE my job and I feel it show in my designs, this is just what I do. For the Love of Design! Kathryn Townsend's passion for flowers dates back to her childhood when helping her grandfather tend to his wonderfully diverse and immaculate flower garden. Years later after leaving her job at a publishing company, Kathryn enrolled in the floral design program at Longwood Gardens where they stress a less formulaic approach to flower arranging and emphasize originality in design. In 2005, after doing a few events for friends, Kathryn opened a floral studio complete with all the amenities necessary to run a professional floral operation.

I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Samantha Presto and her daughter Ashley own and operate Presto Flowers, LLC. Our staff has over 40 years of combined experience in the floral industry. Samantha was taught and trained by generations of family members when she was a young woman. Samantha attends classes and seminars yearly for floral design and gardening in order to keep up with current floral trends. Presto Flowers is a family run business which runs smoothly with the help of her children and some close friends.
