We couldn't have done this without the help of Tammy Romano - she was great. Our cake (part of the package) was delicious and decorated the way we wanted. Everyone had a great time.

I had a pleasure of having my wedding here in the first weekend of 2024, and I cannot be more happy with everything. The team at Silver Lake is amazing, especially Amy. Each person knew the answer to every question I had and I knew the entire night was in good hands. Choosing Silver Lake for my reception eased so much of the stress of wedding planning. We took our pictures in the courtyard (lit up at night- so beautiful) and they are so gorgeous. I have nothing but great things to say about this venue.

We recently got married at Meyer's Castle, and it was an absolute dream come true. My husband, Jeff, and I fell in love with this venue at first sight. We love how private and intimate it is. The castle is completely gated and surrounded by dense trees. You would never know that such an oasis exists just outside of Chicago. When you enter the gate, you drive on a long driveway to the top where you see the castle sitting on the hill. It's quite impressive and reminds me of destination weddings in Europe. The best part is that you don't have to leave the country. We decided to opt for the outdoor reception, which is their most expensive option because it involves a plan B in case of bad weather. The plan B was to host a reception in one of their gorgeous ballrooms. We could choose between two. However, the outdoor reception was so worth it. We were lucky enough to have a perfect sunny day without it being too hot. The venue's booking manager told us that September is their most popular month for weddings, and now I understand why—the weather was absolutely perfect. The team at Meyer's Castle was very friendly, professional, and always responded to our questions in a timely manner. It was totally worth it to hire their Month-Off coordinator, Kate. She was amazing! They also have a list of preferred vendors who they don't force you to hire but recommend based on their experience with them. We hired a photographer and a cake vendor from Meyer's Castle's list, and we were extremely happy we did. The venue's newly renovated bridal suite is cute and elegant at the same time. It has beautiful baby blue peacock wallpaper and a grand gold mirror. They actually have real peacocks living on the property, so the wallpaper in the bridal suite really fits the theme of the venue. This place is awesome. You can have both the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location, which is very convenient and stress-free. I don't like ceremonies in the church, and I would choose over and over to exchange my vows with my husband in the beautiful, green, lush gardens with birds singing around us.

Our wedding was so easy to plan. The girls in the office were absolutely amazing and so easy to communicate with. Private Dining by Sepia did a fantastic job. We wanted an intimate event for our guests. They focused on details (from décor to capturing guest food allergies), perfectly waited upon, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend for the transparency, service, and taste. Our guests were very complementary of the food.

TL;DR Book Walden for your wedding, you will be SO happy you did. It’s hard to even know where to begin writing this review, but I do know our wedding day would NOT have been as amazing as it was without Walden and our planners, Alyssa and Krystle. I stumbled upon Walden in our venue search, saw that they had in-house planning services included in the rental fee (unheard of!) and knew we had to check this place out. Immediately after our walkthrough we knew we were going to get married there. The space is absolutely beautiful (exposed beams, brick) and set up to seamlessly accommodate weddings. Admittedly I was nervous at first about their in-house catering and drink program because food and drink were SO important to us (I had heard stories from other couples who were required to use a caterer their venue selected and the food was meh), but the food ended up being one of the best parts of the evening. We got so much feedback from guests about how amazing the food and drinks were, it was not typical “wedding food”, etc. I was also SO impressed with the way Walden handles dietary restrictions, it’s truly run like a restaurant. We have multiple gluten-free friends and family members, some of whom cannot eat food that has been cross-contaminated with gluten, so I was concerned about their ability to eat at the wedding and thought it would be a hassle for the team to accommodate. But Nick (catering manager) reassured me throughout our menu discussions that it would not be a problem to accommodate them with gluten free substitutions and that there would be no cross contamination. And can’t forget about the bar program - aside from two signature cocktails, we had three other special cocktails on draft, plus almost any other classic cocktail, beer, wine…the bar menu is delicious and extensive and our guests certainly took advantage of it! And now for the planning services…again, I barely know where to begin. We worked with Krystle and Alyssa, and they were THE BEST. Kind, funny, caring, patient souls who answered every single question we had and made sure our every wedding dream was achieved. Any time we were stressed and didn’t know what to do, Krystle and Alyssa would swoop in with recommendations and assurances that we were doing great. They pointed us to our incredible DJ when our plans to hire a live band fell through and we had no idea what to do; made my dream of having ice cream as dessert at our wedding come true; recommended multiple rehearsal dinner spots based on the vibes we told them we wanted (and then reached out to the spots for us so we could just review proposals and decide); always considered our budget when making recommendations; helped my husband pull off a surprise a cappella serenade at our reception that I had no idea was happening (which is a big deal because I was so adamant about being involved in every part of the planning and knowing the entire wedding day timeline). When unforeseen circumstances caused our wedding day timeline to fall off track, they were flexible and adjusted seamlessly. We didn’t miss out on anything, and I felt so at ease even knowing we were off track because I trusted that they would handle everything, and they did. If this extremely lengthy review didn’t convince you that Walden is the best I don’t know what will. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the Walden team, our special day would not have been the same without you.

Working with Bartlett Hills Golf Club was the best wedding decision we made. We personally worked with Evan, who was fantastic from start to finish. Evan took the time to explain all details of the wedding packages. He was kind, knowledgable, and you could tell he really cares about making your vision come to life. He was available to answer any and all questions throughout the wedding planning process. You get SO MUCH for your money at this venue. Our wedding package included passed hors d'oeuvres, a delicious dinner (bread, salad, soup, entree), the WEDDING CAKE (!!), sweets table, table linens, customized flower arrangements for the guest tables, open bar, champagne service for the head table, wine service for guest tables during dinner, and the use of their decorations for the foyer. On top of all that, I was able to drop off my own decorations a few days before the wedding and explain to Evan how I wanted everything to look. He labeled everything and the room was set up beautifully the day of the wedding. You also get to use golf carts to take pictures around the golf course the day of the wedding. My wedding party and I had a lot of fun driving around with our photographer and videographer. The staff even recommended places to take pictures. All of this was included in our wedding package. I don't know of any other venue that provides so much at such a reasonable price. Weddings are so expensive, but we were able to remain within budget thanks to all that is included with this venue. Bartlett Hills Golf Club made everything stress-free from start to finish. They are professional, exceptional, and down-to-Earth people to work with. So many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best they had been to in years or even the best they had ever been to. I credit this to the wonderful service that Bartlett Hills Golf Club provides. Thank you to Evan and all staff for making our wedding such a special day for us. We will never forget your kindness and the beautiful memories you helped to create! I'd highly recommend this venue to any and all brides. You won't regret it!

Ok! I intend to be VERY HONEST about all my reviews bc I think vendor match is the most essential thing & for everyone. And, I don't even have the words for this one, so multiply everything I'm saying by 120. LM Studio, and Paulette specifically, was the best part of our wedding point blank period. They hit on all accords with us and our guests, and the worst part of the whole occasion is that I can't go back there on the regular and just hang out. MULTIPLE GUESTS including my father, with a lifetime of weddings, said the food was not just good BUT THE BEST WEDDING FOOD they have ever had. There wasn't a single complaint. And we agree just delicious. Scenery vibes - you're not going to do better. From the wall art/decor pierces, paint, textures, fabrics, colors, SO MUCH VELVET - there's so much to see. Guests also reported widely "there's not a single place in this venue that isn't ideal for a photo opp. It was just beautiful and we really wanted something that carried some weight decor wise. This place was my perfect match. Aesthetically, it's millions of bucks. I loved every part of it and going there, taking pictures, and just enjoying the luxury throughout the planning process was also such a joy. There's really so much more I could rave on for days about but the most important thing for couples to know is about Paulette who runs Events and Catering. The best way to sum it up is I want to be friends with Paulette. She made me feel important, like a priority, and really cared for from the proposal process until we said good night at the wedding. She is a gem and such a charismatic pleasure to be around. The people you hire to be around you on this day cannot be undervalued! They are the glue to hold everything together. Paulette worked with us on everything from vision to budget, she is so organized, so everything. I just cannot. I actually intended to write this review the day after my wedding because I love her so much, but still I don't even have the words to really convey the impression she left on us. LM gave me an even more perfect vision of everything I prayed for. Our wedding was PERFECT, and I know people don't say that a lot. Of course, there were hiccups but the things that were so perfect like everything at LM outweighed everything else. I wouldn't do anything differently in this part of the planning. Everyone in Chicago who vibes with the space should get married there. The pics are worth it enough if all the didn't make an impression. It really was a 10/10 and Paulette gave 100/10. It's also one of the last places where you feel good about what you're getting for what you're paying for... which we all learn is too rare in the wedding industry. Thank you, Paulette and LM Studio!
