  • Serves Belmont, MA

You: You aren’t interested in traditional, round, monochrome designs and want wedding flowers that are as unique as you are. Us: We bring bold color, whimsical vibes, and avant-garde designs to Nearlyweds that want something different. Althea Floral Design is led by Julian Kane, a passionate designer who loves to create unique and vibrant arrangements that reflect your individual style and personality. With a focus on bold and bright colors, we aim to bring your wedding to life with unforgettable floral designs that leave a lasting impression.

Awarded Best of Zola
We came to Julian on the recommendation of our photographer, as we were doing an elopement without guests, and we wanted funky, bold, and nontraditional vibes for our queer wedding. Despite being the first customers of the Althea A La Carte experience, we were impressed with how easy it was to choose which pieces we wanted. We ended up going with some smaller vases, hair pieces, and boutonnieres. Julian was also willing to use some mushroom propagation vases we found, and it was very easy to drop them off ahead of time. We felt like Julian perfectly understood our vision, and his touch made our wedding day so much more our own. Overall, we had a great time working with Julian, and would highly recommend them for any future events, large or small!

Hire Tracy!!! She is an absolute dream to work with. From our first meeting, she was sweet, detailed, and genuinely wanted us to be happy. We put a lot of trust in her since we know nothing about florals, shared some inspiration, and she ran with it and exceeded every expectation. The colors and arrangements were stunning, especially our ceremony backdrop pieces, which popped beautifully in photos, they made every shot glow and brought so much life to our pictures. So many of our guests keep telling us how amazing our flowers were. Her attention to detail extended to everything, from the adorable bud vases she used for smaller arrangements, the wrap on the bouquets, to the unique boutonnieres. Tracy was super responsive throughout the process, offered ways for us to be involved if we wanted, and went above and beyond to make everything look incredible. I would hire her in a heartbeat for any future event, she made our flowers unforgettable!

I am constantly inspired by your love stories and support love in all forms. I can't wait to have you become part of the Bluebird family.

We loved working with Haley for our wedding! She immediately picked up on our vision and shared so many great ideas. We wanted bright and bold fall colors and she absolutely delivered. She respected our budget and offered creative solutions when our ideas were outside of the budget. Haley was flexible when we woke up to pouring rain on the day of the wedding and I texted her at 6am. The original ceremony plan was to make a flower wall out of hedges at the venue, but she came up with a plan to accomdate the indoor ceremony space. I also loved our bridesmaid bouquets. We wanted monochrome for their mismatched dresses, and they all looked perfect. Haley even made a mini bouquet for our 8month old flower girl, matching her mother's dress. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and we couldnt be happier with the flowers!!

She even helped me with advice outside of flowers when I was looking for a little extra guidance. People still talk about our aisle.... Jen figured out a way to have sunflowers line the aisle on both sides. I’m talking she put little holes in the ground for each one, planted them that morning and they stood beautifully alongside petals on the ground. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen. People still talk about it, along with this wagon wheel chandelier that they covered in gorgeous blooms. The creativity, professionalism and quality are just a few things that sets Copper Penny apart. Get ready for compliments to follow even long after your big day! Thank you Copper Penny!

Roxana Figueroa Design

5.0

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Belmont, MA

My love for nature began early, surrounded by vibrant landscapes and the orchids my father grew. My inventive grandparents sparked my curiosity and appreciation for beauty. My path has been far from linear—studying literature and education, working as a medical interpreter and Spanish teacher, then moving into IT as a Software Test Engineer. Each chapter shaped my design style: disciplined, intentional, and story-driven. Floral artistry became the place where creativity, precision, and emotion meet. Through Roxana Figueroa Design, I create refined, personal floral experiences that transform moments into art.

Roxana Figueroa Design was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was easy, fun, and timely, which made the planning process a breeze. The quality of their work was truly luxurious - they created a balanced, creative floral design that exceeded our expectations. Roxana gave 110% to every detail, from the dramatic entryway bouquet to the stunning table design for our rehearsal dinner. Roxana and her team are incredibly professional and talented, blending timelessness and originality in a way that is hard to find in New England. We couldn't have been happier with the results and highly recommend Roxana Figueroa Design to any couple planning their wedding.

Something Borrowed Blooms provided the most lifelike and luxurious floral arrangements for our wedding day. The bouquets, ceremony pieces and boutonnieres were all incredibly realistic and high quality, with vibrant colors and lush textures that exceeded our expectations. In fact, as my husband and I were taking photos in a park, a bee even tried to pollinate my bouquet, drawn to its beauty and realism. Wow — I couldn’t be more thrilled to have worked with Erica and Restless Spirit Floral for our wedding. It was truly one of the highlights of the entire day. I went to sleep dreaming about the flowers! Florals were one of the most important elements of our celebration, so I was deeply intentional about finding the right partner to bring our vision to life. To say Erica exceeded expectations would be a massive understatement. She went above and beyond in every sense, adding thoughtful surprises and deeply personal touches that showcased not only her talent and creativity but also her genuine care for her clients. From our very first conversation, I knew Erica got it. We came to her with a unique idea: seasonal, natural florals paired with cheeky, high-low New England coastal vibes. She met us there, and then some. She took the time to source the perfect details, from a duck vase (a nod to my spouse, nicknamed “Ducky”) to vintage Cape Cod vessels, and even mailed us old postcards of our wedding location, which, of course, we used for our table numbers. She surprised us by placing our high-top bouquets in Narragansett beer cans (my spouse’s go-to drink) and collaborated with us on a lobster trap altar — sourcing real traps and buoys from a retired fisherman she found on Facebook Marketplace. The level of effort and heart she poured into it all was unreal. And the arrangements themselves? Beyond anything I had imagined. Organic, expressive, and brimming with character. Erica let the florals speak for themselves while adding whimsical, meaningful touches that made everything feel alive and full of joy. Our vision wasn’t traditional, and it certainly wasn’t for everyone, but Erica listened, understood, and created a completely bespoke experience that felt true to us. I have no doubt she brings that same dedication and artistry to every couple lucky enough to work with her.

Emily and her team transformed our harsh, industrial wedding venue into the most romantic, dreamy space I've ever seen. She suspended fabric, built an incredible floral installation, hung vines, and created the most beautiful centerpieces, bud vases, and bouquets. Her eye for design and artistry is incredible, her flowers are stunning, her hardware is beautiful, and she is so kind, communicative, and easy to work with. I got a few other quotes before I went with Emily -- not only did her flowers end up looking far better than those vendors' flowers (based on pictures I'd seen), but her prices were better, too!

When I started planning my wedding, I had a general vision that I was going for, but did not have exact ideas on wedding florals. I knew was that I wanted my wedding to look timeless, sophisticated and organic. From my first meeting with Naomi, I knew she understood my vision. When I received the proposal, I was blown away that she took my ideas and made them even better than I imagined. She was creative with my vibe and budget, suggesting things like tall organic vessels around the ceremony versus a traditional arch and instead of just white flowers, suggested sophisticated neutrals. The day was that much more stunning because of Naomi's florals. They were truly art and my guests were raving about the design. I couldn't recommend N&V enough. Thank you so much again Naomi!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
