My husband and I had the blessing of finding the B&O for our wedding in May 2024. I couldn’t sing enough praises for the amazing people, the beautiful venue, and the fantastic food this place has to offer. Not only are they affordable, but they will work with you on payments. Shannon was an absolute godsend in helping us plan for our big day. I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is, but I would probably run out of writing space. If you were looking for the perfect spot with a wonderfully historic and rustic atmosphere, do yourself a favor and give them a call!

We loved having our wedding at The Metroplex Expo Center. The venue offers a huge, open space which allowed us flexibility in designing the layout and decor exactly how we envisioned for our special day. Throughout the planning process, the venue coordinator was very responsive via email and phone, answering all of our questions promptly. On the wedding day, the staff worked seamlessly with our other vendors like the caterer, florist, and DJ to ensure everything flowed smoothly. The team was organized and attentive to details. Their expertise and coordination were invaluable in reducing stress so we could truly enjoy our celebration with family and friends.

Tropical Paradise in Geauga County! I kept telling my husband when we were looking into venues, "I want somewhere close to the water that's peaceful and I want it to feel like paradise, but I want to get married not too far from home". Most of our family is from the area, so we wanted somewhere that we didn't have to travel super far either. I had been looking for DAYS and everything was either way too far, way too expensive, ehhh, or just not at all what I was thinking. My husband hopped on Google, and said "Hey, how about this place called Shangri-La?" I looked at the pictures and I was like "Where is this place?!" He said "5 minutes from us". I could NOT believe it! It was GORGEOUS! The pictures are amazing but don't do it justice. I immediately reached out to Pam and Rod who own Shangri-La with interest. They said we could come and look at it that day if we wanted! My husband and I went and fell in LOVE! So so beautiful, and they have clearly spared no expense on making it so elegant, beautiful, convenient, affordable, and just magical. They were so amazing to work with. I knew when we parked and walked down the walkway even only seeing a small area of the location that was it. That was the place we were meant to be married at. Pam and Rod were so unbelievably amazing to work with. So caring, so organized, so attentive. They even offered us to set off fireworks at the end of our wedding (we got married on the 4th of July). It was truly the best day of our lives. I didn't worry about a thing, everything went smoothly, and they were just so great to work with! I will absolutely be returning to Shangri-La in the future as they can accommodate you for any kind of gathering you have in mind! They even went the extra mile; I was in a very bad car accident about 2 weeks after my husband and I got back from our honeymoon. I was in the hospital for a days and had broken my neck and had surgery on my knee that left me re-teaching myself to walk. Somehow, Pam and Rod had found out that I was in a car accident, and they stopped over at our house with the sweetest care package and card. It truly made me cry. They are such sweet and wonderful people. And we had such an amazing visit. Pam and Rod are just such unbelievably genuine people. You just feel like you're "home" when you're at Shangri-La. I cannot say enough about Shangri-La and Pam and Rod <3

Fun, Energy, Great Vibes! 5.0 Stars: A Truly Amazing Venue! BOOK IT!! Heartland is a wonderful location for a wedding. The barn was beautifully decorated (not to mention the amount of other decorations they already had on-site was a great way to save money), and the rolling hills made a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and pictures (especially the photo-bombing alpacas). They were so incredibly kind and wonderful to work with throughout the process. They made time to answer all of our questions and were incredibly accommodating by allowing us to take tours and re-visit as we started planning for our wedding. One of the biggest perks was having the venue for the entire weekend, which made setting up and enjoying our day that much easier. Everyone we've spoken to after the wedding have continued to say how beautiful the venue was and how it made for the absolute perfect wedding. I highly recommend Heartland to any bride looking for a beautiful wedding that's truly one-of-a-kind!

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at the doubletree. From the minute we step in the doors everyone was so friendly and attentive. The staff were amazing to work with and answered all our questions. They helped make our day run so smoothly. The food was amazing everyone was raving about it. They got dinner served very fast.

He also had so many helpful recommendations for other vendors that made planning a breeze. . We just got a bridal shower here and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, a beautiful inside area, furniture and beautiful architecture, plenty of parking, and a beautiful view. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. The manager Blagica is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you.

My husband and I were married at Laplace in September 2020. It was perfect! They have bridal suites for getting ready and a few different options for ceremony and receptions depending on your style. I loved how easy everything was. We didn't have to worry about anything at all. The set up was done for us. The clean up was done for us. We were able to pick and choose colors, decor, lighting, etc. The food was amazing! It was hot and fresh which is different than other weddings I've attended. For a stress free wedding or any event, this is definitely the place to go!

Their communication style was poor, often accusatory and defensive when we tried to clarify details with Kelley. However, the value was great - they allowed our pup to be part of the ceremony, which was a special touch. But we had to get any promises from the coordinator, Kelley, in writing, as many things that were "included" in our initial meeting ended up costing extra. Overall, the lack of transparency and professionalism made planning more stressful than needed but overall the day went very well the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast.

Freedom Farms is such a joy to work with for so many reasons! I personally love the attention to detail that Keating puts in even BEFORE the wedding day occurs. This is one of the few venues that checks in with vendors to ensure they have everything they need leading up to an event - It really shows how much they are truly invested in the overall outcome of the day. I recently used Royal Palace Akron as a location for a video shoot, and the space was fantastic. The venue has beautiful interiors, plenty of room, and great lighting which made filming very easy. The environment is clean, elegant, and visually appealing, making it perfect for creative projects like photography and video production. The team was also very accommodating during our shoot. The kitchen staff accommodated making Indian food, the getting ready spaces for both the bride and groom were phenomenal, they allowed us to use the space for our engagement photos, and even went out of their way to acquire over 100 records to use for our place settings at the venue (I had mentioned during our tasting how I loved the set up and Vaughn made it happen without a question). Vaughn also helped us stick to a timeline during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to ensure we weren’t running late while making sure all our guests were taken care of. Aside from their amazing staff, the venue itself is stunning and did not require much additional decor outside of our florals (big help with our budget). 100000/10 recommend utilizing House Three Thirty for any events in the future!
