Choosing a wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you'll make during the planning process and I can confidently say, choosing Swan Lake Caterers was the best decision we made. I’m so excited to write this review so other couples can have a similarly incredible experience! I looked everywhere around the tri-state area from Jersey, to Connecticut, all the boroughs (including Staten Island!!) to all over Long Island. Swan Lake Caterers was actually the first venue I visited, and I fell in love instantly. But, like many brides, I was indecisive. I kept searching, trying to be sure… and after every other tour, I kept coming back to Swan Lake in my heart, I had a feeling it was the one! And it absolutely was. The entire day was seamless, magical, and full of joy. One of the most touching things someone said to me was from my sister. She told me, “So many brides can’t enjoy their wedding day because there’s so much going on but we could see in your face how carefree and happy you were. You were truly having fun” This was in large part due to Swan Lake Caterers allowing me to focus on my husband, family and friends. They gave us peace of mind, beautiful surroundings, and the freedom to be fully present in every moment. The food was out of this world, our guests are still talking about it! Sophia and Charlie really catered to what we wanted and to our guests’ dietary needs! Including three of our vegan family members. The venue itself was picture perfect. It was elegant, romantic, and timeless! One of my guests said it looked like it was out of a Disney movie. Elena, our maitre-d worked with me in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure the decor and vibe was everything we wanted. She knocked it out of the park! Even though it was a little chilly, and started to drizzle, Sophia was in contact with us in the week leading up to it, to make sure everyone was comfortable temperature wise. They were so unimaginably attentive to us! The day of, Elena made sure that even without a rehearsal everything went off without a hitch. Speaking of attentiveness, Jill, my bridal attendant, was simply amazing. She made sure we had drinks in our hand, food on our plates, helped me fix the train on my dress a million and one times. I’m pretty sure they helped one of my guests fix a ripped dress? Seriously. People said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! If you're thinking about getting married here, stop thinking and just say YES. I can’t express how incredibly grateful I am to Swan Lake Caterers and would love it for every other couple (and their guests) to have a similar experience!

My husband and I met in a wedding band so we have been to more than 400 weddings, almost all of which were extremely high end, so we knew exactly what we wanted and had very high expectations (on much less of a budget than the weddings we play)! We are so thrilled to have chosen this venue for our wedding because they knocked it out of the park! My family is not from the NY area and they were blown away by the building, the amount and quality of food, the service, etc. My husband’s family IS from the NY area so they expected great things, and the MOB delivered. Emily was so amazing through the entire process, answering my incessant emails and questions quickly and kindly. Mike we got into contact with the week of the wedding and everything ran smoothly. They were patient while we figured out how to make my husband’s vision of a large king’s table for us and our large bridal party happen, and facilitated all of the coordinating. I still had my own month of coordinator, but they take care of so much there, she was able to focus on more minute details because they had everything handled. We did not use any of their recommended vendors. We had a friday wedding to ensure we were the only ones getting married there that day. Bridal and groom’s suite were excellent. Timeline followed to a tee. Could not be happier! And a little hint to future couples: don’t listen to people who say Lessings is bad because they do so many weddings; they are so good at weddings because they do them all the time. Take it from someone who has seen it all, you DO NOT want to go to a place that doesn’t really do weddings. And lastly, so many of the most expensive places we have played are very similar to the mid-tier places we play. Don’t worry if your wedding isn’t at the Pierre, it is upsettingly similar to have it elsewhere.

We celebrated our wedding on June 29 with about 75 guests, and it was nothing short of magical. We exchanged our personal vows before the ceremony, which took place outside in front of a beatiful waterfall. The setting was absolutely beautiful and created the perfect backdrop for our special day. Cindy and the entire 650 crew were phenomenal! Their attention to detail and commitment to making our day perfect was evident in everything they did. I wish I had more time to give each of them a hug for their incredible work! The food and drinks were simply amazing — to say they were delicious would be an understatement. What truly set this venue apart was Cindy’s dedication to ensuring everything ran smoothly. She was on top of every detail, even those I wasn’t aware of, allowing me to fully enjoy my day without any worries. We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!

NYIT de Severesky Mansion made our wedding a fairytale dream come true. Working with Dana, she made every step of the process easy…. She is an absolute superstar! We were originally supposed to get married in 2021 but chose to postpone (multiple times) because of the pandemic and they worked with my fiancé and I every step of the way…even when we had to move our date one more time because I, the bride, tested positive for COVID 48 hours before the wedding. The food is remarkable, the atmosphere is incomparable and they care about their clients as people working to make sure your day is perfect. Whenever I had a question, Dana would lead me to a vendor, offer her suggestions, and her support. I could not recommend them more.

If you want a PARTY, book this venue. They have multiple rooms at this venue you can book depending on your headcount. We booked the Majestic Room on the top floor for 75 people. They also have the Swan Room that can fit over 150 people or something like that. The whole second floor was dedicated to our event. Here are some of the features it had that just makes sense functionally: we had a bridal suite that fit our whole bridal party and parents, an elevator since it was on the second floor, a grand staircase, our own bathrooms and bar separate from the downstairs area, a built-in dance floor, and a welcome landing. We had to bring minimal decorations, like centerpieces and such. They provide table settings, everything in the bar, name cards, and table numbers. We suggest finding a vendor for uplighting. Our DJ provided it for us and made the room look amazing. The food is fancy and delicious. In the days that followed our reception, we received compliments about the entrees and passed hors d’oeuvres. They are plated like an inspired high-end restaurant. We had an open bar and everyone was very pleased with the service. TLDR: these people know what they’re doing. The space is BUILT for weddings, not retrofitted, and it shows. The service is WHITE GLOVE and the food will impress your guests. Book this venue!

When originally looking for a venue we scoped out around 10 to choose from. VIP was the first we visited and we knew immediately we did not need to visit the other 9. Everything from the value, service, and quality was met that day and moving forward. This venue is extremely worth what you pay for. The service, the amount of options, the quality of those options, and the flexibility are all top notch. WE could not be more grateful for how the day went and that's in no small part to VIP and their team. Special shoutout to Vinson, the maitre d', and Daniella, the bridal attendant, for their professionalism and attention to detail. The communication with their team was perfect and thorough - they responded quickly to all our questions and made sure we had all the details ironed out ahead of time. The venue itself is big, spacious and simply beautiful. The staff was very attentive and patient throughout the entire event, making sure everything flowed smoothly. When I got a bit frustrated, they even held my hand to reassure me! Everyone we worked with was polite, nice and professional. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and all the staff were so attentive. Communication was always on point - they always called back within a reasonable timeframe and answered all our questions. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to work with for our wedding!

The team at the Garden City Hotel was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with them, they were easy to communicate with and very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The space itself was absolutely stunning - the ballroom was beautifully decorated and the outdoor gardens provided a lovely backdrop for our photos. But what really made the day special was the outstanding service we received. The bridal attendant, Nang, was with me from the moment I put on my dress until the very end of the night, ensuring I had everything I needed and helping to make the day run smoothly. The events directors, Paul, Merril, and Jose, were also incredibly helpful, working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. From the moment we met Kathy and saw The Douglaston Manor, we knew it would be the place we get married. We absolutely loved the old charm and how spacious all the rooms were. My only complaint is the room that i was to get dressed in needs to renovated asap but they were very accommodating and on top of everything! It also photographs incredibly well—something that was really important to me. When we first brought our family to see it, everyone was impressed right away. On the wedding day, the service really stood out. The staff were professional and experienced, and everything ran seamlessly. I didn’t have to worry about the flow of the event at all, which allowed me to truly enjoy the moment. The timing of the courses was also very well managed, and many of our guests complimented the food. Another huge plus is the large private parking lot, which made things so much easier for our guests—especially in New York, where parking can be a challenge. Overall, this venue gave me a beautiful, stress-free wedding experience that I’ll always remember. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding banquet venue.

The entire staff made our dream wedding day come true and I could not recommend the venue more. Sasha was our wedding attendant and so sweet and attentive and patient. She's been working at the venue for 19 years and her experience was so helpful to have! We moved cocktail hour out on the patio for an additional fee which was also greatly appreciated by our guests who got to take amazing photos and enjoy the gardens before our dinner - highly recommend considering if it's in your budget! Again, really enjoyed working with the entire NYBG team and specifically with Chantal and Sasha. We will thrilled with the outcome!
