“As soon as my wife saw Prairie Street, she knew immediately this was the venue she wanted. Neither of us is from Rockford and we have no real ties to the area. But Prairie Street Brewing Company is an absolute gem. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Every member of the staff, especially Visouda, was so accommodating and put up with our incessant questions. It was the perfect setting for our wedding; it gave us both a ceremony right by the beautiful river, and then offered the rustic beauty that we were looking for in a venue. Not to mention, it was priced much cheaper than every other venue we considered. And quite frankly, even if it’s not for a wedding or special occasion, everyone should just go there. Incredible atmosphere, fantastic food, terrific vibe throughout the whole place, especially on Thursdays when they have live music on the dock. I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular. Thank you to everyone at Prairie Street for giving us the perfect wedding day!”

“We had a beautiful wedding and reception at Franchesco's. The food was great and it truly was a wonderful evening. Several people stated that we had a beautiful wedding but there were some hiccups. After the ceremony, there were our signature drinks out for guests but they were not labeled and several guests thought it was iced tea and orange juice but it was an old fashioned and a malibu and pineapple. I actually thought so myself until someone said something to me. A big deal for those sober guests in the crowd who thought it was tea and OJ. Luckily no kids got any. When I arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony, the guest place cards and favors were not displayed as I was told they would be. So, myself, both moms and bridal party members had to take care of this. Not a huge deal but I gladly would have stayed later the previous night to ensure this was done. I was told however that it would have been taken care of. Somehow at least 2 tables did not get cake, while other tables were offered seconds. Again it was a beautiful day and there is always something that goes wrong at a wedding. But these things seemed pretty big and made the day a little more chaotic then it needed to be.”

How Can You Maximize Value at Illinois Wedding Venues?

September stands as Illinois' most popular wedding month so you'll need to book well in advance. Most venues are secured about 15 months (457 days) ahead with venue inquiries typically representing couples' first wedding planning step. Look for venues offering comprehensive packages that include essentials like tables chairs and audio equipment. This approach often delivers better value than piecing services together separately.

Can Illinois Venues Accommodate Remote Wedding Participants?

While traditional venues might not explicitly advertise advanced remote participation many can adapt for hybrid events. Consider working with places like Cheney Mansion Starved Rock Lodge or Mt. Zion Convention Center to implement interactive elements beyond basic streaming. You could incorporate virtual reality experiences or live polls to keep remote guests fully engaged in your celebration.
