The Clark’s Lakeside

5.0

Homer, MI
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

We began our journey in 2015 with a dusty gravel pit and vision for a new home. The gem was the stunning 30 acre crystal clear lake. After purchasing the property we found ourselves hosting church activities and work functions as people truly loved being here. Slowly, we began adding amenities to the property. In 2020 one of our daughters got engaged. As she began looking for a venue to host her wedding we came to realize that the perfect spot was right in front of us. We wanted it to be a very special place and we went to work to create a beautiful wedding venue. There are many opportunities on the property for one of a kind pictures. There are two picturesque options in front of the lake for the service and a new reception building that can seat up to 200 guests. With a 5 acre campus larger weddings can be accommodated with tent rental.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Natural elegance with open spaces

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Does not allow pets
  • Additional event staff required
We had an impeccably amazing experience with the Clark’s and their venue for our daughter’s wedding. From the first time we met them, Todd and Tammy were gracious, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. They are an amazing Christian couple who shares their beautiful property selflessly with others. They ensured we had everything we needed and that all of our questions were answered. They were reliable, kind and helpful every step of the way up until we left the premises after everything was over. The venue is so peaceful and beautiful, a perfect place to experience the joy, hope and love that weddings are all about. Highly recommend The Clark’s Lakeside!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Christine was a fantastic officiant who was flexible, experienced, informative and helpful, kind, patient, quirky, and thoughtful. She guided us through the process of marriage, both in creating a beautiful ceremony and in assistance with technicalities like name changing. The chapel is better than the online pictures can even capture, it’s got SO much character and charm. The stained glass windows, antique furniture, and interesting trinkets were charming as can be. Christine’s ceremony builder helped us create the perfect outline for a nice presentation, and she is open to people of all backgrounds and beliefs or lack there of. The price for renting her chapel and officiant service is truly unbeatable and WELL worth the money. Could not be happier with how our ceremony went, highly recommend!!! On our wedding day Michigan was plagued with a horrific ice storm, but I hardly noticed because everything else was such a dream come true!

First off, the all-inclusive aspect of English Inn was perfect. We had our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding, photos, cocktail hour, and reception there - plus our bridal party and immediate family stayed on site! It really took a lot of stress out of the weekend to not have to worry about how to get from A to B. And since the Inn's banquet hall caters the meal and has a bar, that was 2 fewer vendors we had to worry about! Not to mention chairs, tables, linens, etc all provided as well. For two people who aren't familiar with event planning, the English Inn made planning our wedding a breeze! Adriana is amazing as event coordinator, she was always able to answer every question quickly and professionally. The staff was all really friendly and the food was AMAZING! Absolutely no regrets or "what-if"s on our venue choice.
