  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,980

Your wedding should be a representation of your individual personalities as well as your mutual love and vibe as a couple. It showcases you in front of your guests and sets the tone as to what the new chapter of your life starts out as. It all starts with a venue. Location is arguably the most important part of the wedding planning process. It is not only the first thing that will make an impact, but the entire atmosphere will be infused into every aspect of the event. That’s why, couples who love to be outdoors, are moving away from traditional wedding options and choosing backyard weddings with a more comfortable event venue and atmosphere. You don’t need to fly to an exotic place to have a beautiful backdrop for your wedding day. While the sandy beaches and mountains are nice, the trees and blooming flowers in a garden are just as good. Another advantage of organizing your wedding outdoors is to let Mother Nature take the lead in decorating.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has onsite accommodations
  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Multiple event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space

They helped us plan every detail of our special day with ease, and the end result was a beautiful, unique, unstuffy, airy, and bespoke setting that felt tailored just for us. I never once felt stressed throughout the entire process, as the staff members went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect day. The team at Verde Canyon Railroad was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their communication was friendly, efficient, and easy, which made planning our special day a breeze. The value they provided was great, with a unique and memorable experience (and amazing photo opportunities). They worked with us to create a customized menu, an adorable welcome sign, and their staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the event. A special shout out to Ellen who arranged for us to do a “first look” on the train beforehand. Our guests have raved about what a one-of-a-kind wedding we had, and we credit a lot of that to the wonderful team at Verde Canyon Railroad, especially Ellen who was great to work with. We were not a small group —120 people— and they handled us with ease.

With a few conversation over email and a Pinterest board, Alexis created the perfect vision board. She executed that vision beautifully on our wedding day.
