Vanderveen Farm is a 110+-year-old dairy farm in the heart of the Skagit Valley farmlands. Built primarily by one man, the craftsmanship and details in the barn are unparalleled. Up until the mid 80's, it had been an active dairy operation. For the next ten years, the farm was used to raise cows. Wedding videography all started with making short films with friends in college and realizing how much I love the process of producing video content. I often fell into the producer role, having a hand in every area of production which taught me so much and has led me down the path of pursuing video content creation all on my own. Although not nearly as exhilarating as filming through the night or in the heat of a desert on a cliff with incredibly talented friends pushing each other to learn and grow, I still get to experience the pre-production, production, and post-production of a film shoot.

Although I call Bellingham and the Pacific Northwest home now, I grew up on my family's farm in Michigan's rural Upper Peninsula, also known as 'the U.P.' At heart, I'm still and always will be a die-hard 'Yooper.' My dad, Chip, who is one of my biggest heroes, taught me how to grow, forage for, and arrange flowers around our farm while I was growing up. We used to make things together and sell them at the local farmers market on the weekends. So in some ways, I've been doing this work all my life. I started working in the floral industry in Bellingham before branching out on my own as Pozie by Natalie in 2015.

Over the last 10 years I’ve been pursuing filmmaking. From commercial shoots with Amazon, to the orphanages of Haiti, I’ve seen and done a lot with my career…but the moments that stuck with me were always the ones that had purpose behind what we were capturing. Weddings quickly went from being an occasional gig to the most precious gift I could provide an entire family!
