Poppy Flowers was a great choice for our small wedding. Their twilight template was exactly the color palette I was looking for and they had options for everything I needed at an affordable price (in comparison to other Washington DC florists). I was very happy with the quality of the flowers and the set-up process.

We hired Victoria for our May 2024 wedding at the westbury manor! She is the absolute sweetest and did such a wonderful job. I had first contacted her about a year before the ceremony and had a few changes here and there throughout the year, and she patiently made those changes, gave me suggestions when needed, understood the assignment and delivered with perfection! My husband and I, and our guests absolutely loved the decor and bouquets! 10/10 definitely recommend for anyone considering!!

Andrew brought our vision to light with the most honest, daring, clear, stunning, and B E A U T I F U L authenticity any bride could dream of. We knew the floral aesthetic were going to be a key to bring component for bringing to life the centering our BIG Black Queer Love. Since it was a very intentional Black queer celebration honoring our love and commitment, the floral choices and expertise Andrew brought was the linchpin to success, from the very beginning with our first "Get-to-know-each-other" call throughout the process including a venue walk-through up right through the big day. He ensured each detail of our wedding arrangements conveyed our intention while centering our rustic elegant color palette -- a compliment to the autumnal mountain backdrop and made us feel so seen. The impeccable creativity Andrew brought to our more traditional accents -- the bridal bouquet and boutonniere, reception harlow stands -- were equally as elevated and aesthetically eye-dropping the energetic accents and more customized requests -- our flower-adorned chuppah, the ceremony wagon for the flower girl, and the floral chandelier. Andrew's energy is infectious and his preparation and seamless operation always gave us one less thing to worry about during the planning process. He uses an online system to track all exchanges and works with you to find inspirational images to ensure what you imagined is what will transpire on the day of. He also went out of his way to understand how his floral arrangement choices would adapt to any new details as planning unfolded, like ensuring the bridal bouquet perfectly replicated the vibrancy of peak fall foliage. I cannot stress enough that Andrew is the way to go!! He will ensure your special day has the visual energy for bringing to life all the love, connectedness, intimacy, excitement, and emotion of your wedding day!

      Flowers by Daye

      5.0

      New York, NY
      • Starts at $1,500

Flowers by Daye is one of New York City's most distinctive floral design studios. Its founder and creative force, Daye Deura, uses her unmistakable mélange of innovation and tradition to transform event spaces and film sets into floral dreamscapes and important moments into the full gamut of momentous occasions: weddings, product launches, outdoor garden parties, fundraisers, photo shoots, one-time galas, daily or weekly flower arrangements for offices, hotels and residences. Flowers by Daye has demonstrated floral arrangements at Macy's annual flower shows. Flowers by Daye is listed and featured in New York Magazine wedding issues.

Flowers by Daye was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! From our initial consultation, her communication style was thoughtful, focused, and advisory - she really took the time to understand our vision and provide helpful guidance. After connecting with her and checking availability, she started off with a phone call to get to know us better and get an idea of what we were looking for. A few months later, we met in person at the flower district to look through different options (floral and decorative). She was always available through email and text, and due to her experience in the industry, was a great calming support to have through the planning process. The quality of her work was exceptional, with a level of detail personalization that exceeded our expectations. Both of us knew very little about flowers, so she helped advise us on which flowers would be in season and would work with our palette. She also helped us stay within our budget and still maximize the wow effect. I worked with her on the side to add a surprise "something blue" Texas Bluebonnet to my bouquet for the groom (his state flower). We were even able to adjust the boutonnieres a few days prior to ensure everything was perfect. Plus, she added flowers and decorating the cake at no additional cost! Additionally, her knowledge of the venue allowed her to provide tailored recommendations for the floral arrangements, as she knew generally the set up, lighting, and colors. Everything turned out beautifully - the arrangements were somehow both delicate and bold, and truly helped bring our vision to life. We are so grateful to the team at Flowers by Daye for helping make our day so incredible. Thank you, Daye!

      Something Borrowed Blooms

      4.9

      • Starts at $250
      • Serves New York, NY

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

      Awarded Best of Zola
The process of using something borrowed blooms was so easy. I loved that the flowers could be reused and that I wasn't going to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would just be thrown away! They included the return label in the box with the flowers they shipped out, which was great because we did not have a printer at our destination wedding. All of our flowers were fake because I was also worried about the heat wilting our flowers. I only rented bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and a dog collar- but I wish I had rented my centerpieces as well! Amazing experience with SBB all around!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

      • Starts at $350
      • Serves New York, NY

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

      Awarded Best of Zola
I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!

Location flexible? Discover florists near New York, NY

About wedding florists in New York, NY

What's the average price range for florists in New York, NY?

There are a number of different factors that influence the total cost of a wedding floral package, including the type of flowers you're using, the size of your bridal party, and amount of floral decorative elements at your wedding (don't forget gorgeous extras like ceremony arches). In New York, NY, bouquets range from $100 to $1,400. Centerpieces typically range from $100 to $2,000. The minimum price for florists often takes into account the amount of effort and time required to pull together the creations.

Which are the most popular florists in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular florists in this area include Bloom Culture: Do-it-yourself Wedding Flowers, The Faux Bouquets and Something Borrowed Blooms.

What questions should I ask when booking a wedding florist?

Florists offer a range of different services that you'll want to ask about before you book. For example:

    • Do they offer rentals of structures and additional decor?
    • Can they create mockups or sample arrangements?
    • Will they assist with flower preservation if that's something you're interested in?
    • Is breakdown/cleanup included in the package?
    • How far in advance should I book a florist in New York City?

In the hustle and bustle of New York City, timing is everything—even when it comes to locking down those petal-perfect arrangements. The truth is, the earlier, the better. Aim to find your florist at least 9-10 months before your wedding date, especially if you're eyeing a sought-after florist or if you're getting married during peak wedding season. This gives you ample time to work with them on how to bring your creative vision to life.

What seasonal flowers are available for weddings in NYC?

Here's a little pro tip: embracing in-season flowers not only captures the mood of the moment, but could also be a savvy move for your budget! Chat with your florist about what's blossoming around your big day—they'll help bring your floral visions to life without the additional markup on imported blooms. So, ready to let the seasons be your guide? Spring struts in with sweet tulips and fragrant hyacinths, while summer boasts hydrangeas and cheerful sunflowers. Rich dahlias and amber-hued calla lilies peak in fall, and elegant amaryllis and romantic red roses will brighten up the coziest winter wedding.

What happens to flowers after the wedding in NYC?

Your wedding flowers helped make your day magical. But what happens to them when you and your crew head to the after party? If you want to do more than just offer them to your guests to take home, there are many NYC based organizations that can help you donate leftover flowers to local nursing homes, hospitals, and more, so some of the joy of your day can live on.

Do florists in NYC rent out decorative items like vases and arches?

Absolutely, most of NYC's florists are not only about petals and stems. Think of them as the set decorators for your big day, offering a beautiful selection of vases, arches, candles and other décor extras that bring your vision to life. Gorgeous glassware to show off those long-stemmed roses? Check! Majestic arches that turn your aisle into a fairytale gateway? You bet. And here's the cherry on top: it's often more budget-friendly and definitely kinder to the planet to rent from your florist rather than buying stuff you'll use just once. So, if you're looking to create an enchanting atmosphere without the clutter of "what do I do with this now?" after the big day, talk to your florist about rental options. They'll have you covered with items that complement your blooms and elevate your venue from "oh" to "oh, wow."

What types of florists are in New York, NY?

What other New York vendors will I need?

      What other florists are nearby?

What other wedding services are nearby?
