Hi, we are Paola and Ivan – a creative husband and wife team, based in Chicago. We share a mutual love for traveling the world and enjoying good food, music, and art. Paola is the founder and main drive behind Vivid Photo and Video. Paola started shooting weddings over 10 years ago, first as a photographer, then moving into video shortly after. Ivan is a talented artist, graphic designer, and musician. He is the glue that holds our team together during the wedding day, whether it is acting as a second videographer, flying the drone, or running microphones for everyone.

    Great team and end product

A 33 % deposit and a signed contact are required in order to reserve a wedding date. The remaining balance is split in two payments, one due half way between the booking day and the wedding day, and the final payment due the week of the wedding. If the wedding is less than 3 months away from the booking date, a 50% deposit is required.
We typically have two videographers using two primary cameras throughout the wedding day. Up to two additional stationary cameras are set up during the ceremony and toasts at the reception. Don’t worry though, even though it sounds like a lot of equipment, all of our cameras are small in size and inconspicuous.
Without getting too technical, we use professional audio equipment to record all audio that goes into the final film (ceremony, speeches, first look). We use wireless lavalier microphones as well external records plugged into the DJ’s system (with their permission, of course).
Ideally, we would like to start when the bride is doing her make up and stay at least 30 min after the dancing starts at the wedding reception. However, every wedding timeline is different, so we are glad to discuss the best options for yours during our wedding planning stage.
Typically, we do. We have subscription to a few licensing services. If choosing your own music is a priority with you, we will be glad to share them with you and give you that option.
It takes about 40-60 days after your wedding day, to receive your files. One revision is included with video packages. Once we receive your approval, a USB drive with your files is mailed within 2-3 business days.
