Lume & Echo
Lume & Echo is a Los Angeles–based boutique wedding film studio creating cinematic, story-driven films. Founded by casting producer–turned–videographer Susan Morrissey (Bar Rescue, Naked and Afraid), the team—alongside filmmaker and animator Ashley—brings a calm, professional, and genuinely fun presence so couples can fully enjoy their day. Every film is personally edited by Susan—never outsourced—with a focus on pacing, emotion, and the moments that matter. Shot on Sony cinema cameras with professional audio, each film is crafted through multicamera editing and subtle motion design to feel seamless, polished, and uniquely yours.
As best friends, we've seen firsthand how being filmed can feel uncomfortable or impersonal — and how much that shapes the day. With backgrounds in television, animation, and hospitality, we work as a seamless team so nothing is missed and nothing feels forced. More than anything, we want you to feel at ease and fully yourself — so your film doesn't just show the day, it lets you feel it again.

Lume & Echo - Great Pros & Good People!
What can I say about Lume and Echo? How about... THEY'RE AWESOME! Their cinematic videos are top notch, we all know that, so let's talk about what's really important... Susan & Ashley are good people. Wedding videographers are going to be by your side with cameras in your face all day long, so it's imperative that the people you hire to share vulnerable & emotional space with you are going to elevate the experience. That's what Susan & Ashley do - they are fun, engaging, hospitable, care about the quality of their work and your experience. Honestly, they make it feel like you've asked your friends to be your videographers - except they're professionals! Lume and Echo gives you the best of both worlds! If this is what you're shopping for (and why wouldn't it be?) than stop reading and hire them!

Susan and Ashley were an absolute dream to work with for our fall wedding in Palm Springs! From start to finish, their professionalism, warm demeanor, and clear communication made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. They captured every meaningful moment so naturally, and we were blown away by how everything was edited into shareable clips—plus receiving all the raw footage was such a special bonus. Susan has a true talent for storytelling, and her attention to detail really shines through in her work. We couldn’t recommend her more to any couple looking for a seamless and heartfelt videography experience! PS - she even brought an underwater camera because we had a pool and got this awesome clip of us jumping into the pool from below!

A dream team
Newly weds here. To be truthful, I very rarely give 5 stars on anything but Susan and Ashley deserve this. Throughout the process of looking for and choosing a videographer, Susan was so personable, patient and understanding. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch or a business transaction, it was genuine, just getting to know each other and what we were looking for. We did a short movie to document our relationship and engagement, going back to where we met, highlighting our interests and story which was so much fun. Then, for the wedding, they went above and beyond even purchasing a vintage camera, and they created the most beautiful highlight movie with additional footage of key moments we wanted. Being an artistic [and perfectionistic but indecisive] person myself, I am very particular and I know that I asked a lot of them. I just hope I didn’t scare them away because we would definitely work with them again on any video project they want to be a part of. We will cherish our wedding footage forever thanks to you!
