Joseph Lotz

After picking up a photography camera back in 2010, I always was intrigued by video. I continued with photography until August 2016, when I switched my camera to video mode and started making videos. Eventually a friend I did wedding photography for trusted me to start shooting video for his company, and the rest is history. I’ve since stopped taking photos and become fully immersed in creating wedding films ever since, leading to 5+ years filming weddings and 2 years photographing weddings prior. I’m committed every day to perfecting my craft, trying new techniques, and as any filmmaker knows, purchasing excessive amounts of new camera gear.

My style of work, and my philosophy of capturing the most important day of your life can be described in three simple words: raw, real, and intimate. I’m not going to create “just another wedding video.” Ultimately I want the relationship between my couples and I to be built on mutual trust and respect. I want my couples to guide me if they feel that is necessary, but if a couple puts all their trust into me on their wedding day, that means that they can focus 110% on being present in the moment of their day, and I can focus on capturing that for them in the most organic and honest way possible.
