Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

    The Wheeler House staff was so easy to work with and so helpful with the entire day as well as building up to it. They treat the bride and groom like royalty and everything was absolutely perfect. Our wedding planner, Kelle, was an all star and the venue was so beautifully decorated. Everything was ideal and perfect. If you want a wedding that is as beautiful as you see in the movies, GO WITH THE WHEELER HOUSE!

    I could not recommend this venue enough! The staff, the actual venue, and all of the incredible vendors they work with made for the best day ever. Eden was our day of coordinator and she helped make everything run so smoothly and made sure my husband and I were completely taken care of throughout the day/night. We also stayed in The Wheeler House cottages the night before and night of our wedding and they were the perfect place for our wedding party to stay. Highly recommend them if you’re looking to get married in North Georgia!
