Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

Perfect Wedding Venue!
Me and my husband had our wedding at the wheeler house in July 2025. From the start everyone there made the whole process easy to manage and we felt supported from day 1! Emma was such a good coordinator as we got closer to our date and made everything so stress-free. Everyone on site was eager to help and I felt extremely supported throughout the entire planning process. Emma had our wedding day running flawlessly - she took care of things behind the scenes to let us enjoy our day! I couldn’t say enough good things about the Wheeler House and its staff as a whole. Wonderful experience all around!
Venue of My Dreams!
My fiancé and I were so thrilled with our experience at The Wheeler House! The fact that it was all-inclusive yet still an affordable venue outside of Atlanta was amazing. The open houses were the perfect opportunity to try a variety of food options for the big day. Getting connected with our coordinator Kelle was so easy and she was available to answer any questions we may have had in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The whole team at The Wheeler House were so incredible to work with and genuinely so kind. My whole family kept complementing the venue itself and the staff who were helping out all day, especially our coordinator Kelle. She made it to where I didn’t have to worry about anything day of. Everyone who came to the wedding kept saying how beautiful everything was and how great of an experience it was. I couldn’t have been happier with our choice in The Wheeler House.

I couldn’t say enough good things about the wheeler house. Everything about the venue and the staff and everything in between is nothing short of amazing. It was truly a dream to be able to get married there and I wish I could relive the magic everyday!! If you’re considering getting married here, do it!

Working with The Wheeler House was an absolute dream! The venue is perfect for a historic feel with polished details - my dream was for this to be a true souther backyard vibe and it was exactly that! Every member of the staff is so kind and they are always available to help anytime you need them throughout the planning process. I loved that they are all inclusive so you know your event is going to be staffed with the best vendors. They also have tons of recommendations for other vendors - dress shops, rehearsal dinner venues, hair and make up, etc. Kelle was my venue wedding coordinator and she was perfect! She was very informative and helped make the day perfect, her timeline and coordination of all vendors was so great and it’s because of her that I went into my wedding day feeling relaxed and was able to enjoy every moment. The Wheeler House truly is a hidden gem!
