The Peter B. Lewis Ballroom offers floor to ceiling windows providing a stunning panoramic view of historic Tappan Square in the historic city of Oberlin and the picturesque campus of Oberlin College, providing a wedding venue with an ideal backdrop for pictures. Your guests will enjoy strolling through walkable downtown Oberlin with easy access to shops, art, and cultural attractions. With sustainable food prepared expertly, Executive Chef Jim Barnhart has created a menu centered on the people who grow food for themselves, their friends, neighbors and the larger community. Ingredients are sourced from partnering with local farmers who share the importance of their story through the thought and care put in our food.

    The Hotel at Oberlin ended up being the perfect place for our wedding. The location is close to pretty much anything you'll need for a wedding weekend. It's within a 1 minute walk to a variety of potential photograph locations (e.g. Hall Auditorium, Tappan Square...) as well as business (e.g. salons, restaurants, cafes) that can help your wedding day go smoothly. There are also a variety of potential ceremony locations within walking distance. We chose the Apollo Theater across the street. The team at the hotel, especially Lauren, was responsive and helpful every step of the way. The chef and Lauren worked together to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and requests (e.g. extra entree option, catered lunch and snacks...). They were also helpful with managing the linen rentals, room design, and room block reservations. Guests were charmed by Oberlin and gave us feedback that they enjoyed being able to slow and down and enjoy small town life during the weekend.
