About this venue
Find your fairytale wedding on a private, 4- acre island–a lakeside spot that’s close to your heart and close to home. Our newly renovated barn adds a classical touch to your big-day style, while the beautiful surrounding woods and clear-blue water create memories to last a lifetime. Rent the entire island and barn for a weekend or a week–reconnect and relax with friends and family who’ve come for your big celebration, followed by summer and fall days of lakeside fun with boats, campfires, swimming, storytelling, fishing and cuddling. Cabins and Historic Lake House included. Friday noon to Friday noon or 7 nights noon to noon. Sleeping for 39 guests.

The Venue
The extremely secluded facility is on a private island, surrounded by natural beauty and irresistible charm.
The Hideaway at Xanadu Island sits on four acres of land, with both a Lake House and four cozy vintage cabins offering spectacular views. The Lake House can accommodate 16 to stay and sleep in its charming surroundings. Featuring French windows, elegant exposed wooden beams, a stone fireplace, a mini-conservatory, and more, it has a warm charming appeal. The cottages offer more room for the wedding party to sleep. A further 21 guests could stay the night here after the reception revelries have died down. The Front Porch Cabin, Tiny House, Lakeview Cabin, and Cozy Cabin, each boast comfort, rustic sophistication, and amenities such as a grill, picnic table, and fire pit.

A rented tent option can add yet more room for hosting your significant celebration on location. The wedding party can also utilize the get-ready rooms to prepare for the event. The Hideaway at Xanadu Island has an all-inclusive approach to their available items, meaning couples and their loved ones don’t have to worry about rental fees for use. The team offers many entertainment options to choose from.

A Dream Wedding & A Week with Our Families
Our wedding at The Hideaway at Xanadu Island was truly a dream come true! We will forever be grateful for the beautiful memories we made there. 10/10 experience, both as a bride and as a returning guest for a romantic weekend getaway! We stayed for an entire week, and having a place to host our families, especially those traveling from out of state, was priceless. Spending that much time together before, during, and after our wedding made everything so much more meaningful. The property comfortably sleeps over 30 people, and having nearly half our wedding guests staying on-site was amazing. Everyone had their own space while still being together. Nicole, the property owner, was so kind and easy to work with from the beginning. And Ashley, the property manager, is an absolute sweetheart! She is thoughtful, considerate, hardworking, and genuinely one of the kindest people you could meet. She went above and beyond to help us, especially on our wedding day, offering to do anything we needed. She exceeded my expectations in every way. Truly, beautiful humans run this property! We feel so fortunate to have been welcomed so warmly by Nicole, her family, and Ashley. I genuinely looked forward to seeing Ashley every day. Love her! I especially appreciated the flexibility of planning our wedding in a setting that felt more like an Airbnb than a traditional wedding venue. We could choose vendors who fit our budget without feeling obligated to use a required catering company or predetermined services. Xanadu also provided a wonderful selection of vendors, many of whom were local small-business owners well-known and loved in the community. We could create a wedding that felt like US while supporting local businesses. Choosing this venue style was one of the best decisions we made. The wedding and events leading up to it were even more incredible than we imagined! The beautiful lakeside ceremony and outdoor reception, the gorgeous barn as a backup space and a place for our post-ceremony toast, and the late-night dance party! Our first look by the dock was so special and perfect for photos. The adorable cabins, beautiful grounds, and huge historic lake house created so many charming spaces to explore, take photos, and enjoy quiet moments together. Everything came together beautifully. I could go on and on about the little details that made this place perfect for our wedding. Literally, every single guest told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended! More than anything, we are grateful for the time this property gave us with our families. Sharing meals, laughing, celebrating, and making memories over an entire week is something we will cherish forever. It was so much more than a wedding day; it was an entire experience we will never forget. Nicole, thank you for sharing this beautiful property with us and making us feel so welcome. Ashley, thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness, hard work, and for going above and beyond. We are SO grateful we got to celebrate our wedding here and spend such meaningful time with our families. The Hideaway at Xanadu Island will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our wedding was unique and memorable! We wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful, historic, memorable, and flexible property to anyone looking for a truly special place to bring their loved ones together. The most magical wedding venue!!!
We are so grateful we stumbled upon this quaint, little lake resort oasis! The hosts were incredibly accommodating and it made for the most peaceful and wholesome atmosphere to host our wedding!
