The Explorium Brewpub Third Ward is conveniently situated in the historic Pritzlaff Building in downtown Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. Our brewpub highlights the charm of this iconic building, featuring cream city brick and timber post-and-beam construction. With its original brick walls, wooden columns, and natural floors and joists, the space exudes warmth and character, creating the perfect setting for private events. We proudly provide on-site catering with an array of scratch-made dishes, abundant gluten-free options, and customizable beverage packages to help you create the perfect menu for your event. Our Third Ward location is a favorite for all types of gatherings, providing both semi-private and private spaces for weddings, engagement parties, outdoor celebrations, family events, company happy hours, fundraisers, showers, birthday parties, and more. This semi-private space offers a balanced mix of dining seating and mingling bar areas with its own bar, and is equipped with a customizable music system and a PA system. Take your event outside—our spacious patio features fire pits, a built-in stage, and the perfect vibe for memorable outdoor events.

Our outdoor patio offers shade in hotter months, with fire pits providing warmth during cooler periods. Seating includes a variety of high-top and dining tables, plus chairs and benches around large fire tables. This smoker-friendly outdoor space occasionally hosts cigar/pipe smoker groups. A large band stage is also available for outdoor entertainment, with sound and lights provided.

The Brew Deck offers a bright, open-air view of our taproom—great for lively celebrations. Our dog-friendly patio adds charm for casual get-togethers.

Nestled in MKE's Deer District overlooking the Fiserv Forum, our Downtown taproom features unique event spaces perfect for gatherings of any size!

We offer two distinct event spaces: The Oak Room is a private event space ideal for small business meetings, large group dinners, and private gatherings with a capacity of 25 people. It showcases our wooden brewing vessels, creating a unique backdrop for intimate events. The Biergarten is a spacious semi-private space that can host groups of up to 100. It features large glass windows that showcase stunning views of downtown, creating a vibrant urban atmosphere.
