The Derby House is a private indoor-outdoor wedding venue located just minutes south of downtown Frankfort, Illinois, near I-80 and I-57. Set on 10 acres, our 7,000-square-foot venue offers a flexible setting for couples who want a wedding day that feels personal, relaxed, and memorable. With spacious indoor gathering areas, expansive outdoor grounds, a full bar, entertainment features, and room for guests to enjoy the property, The Derby House gives you the freedom to create a celebration that feels like your own. From ceremonies and cocktail hours to dinner, dancing, and late-night fun, our venue is designed for couples who want more than a standard reception space.

The Derby House can accommodate up to 300 guests from May through October and up to 200 guests from November through April.
No. The Derby House does not require a guest minimum, giving couples more flexibility when planning their celebration.
Yes. Wedding ceremonies may be hosted on-site, with outdoor seating available for up to 50 guests or indoor ceremony space for up to 200 guests. The ceremony fee is $800.
A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your event date.
Your rental includes 6 hours of event time, plus 2 hours of setup access the day before your event and 1 hour of pickup/takedown access the day after your event. Additional event time may be available for $700 per hour.
Yes. Couples are welcome to bring décor, centerpieces, signage, photo displays, balloons, lighting, and other personal touches. We’ll work with you to coordinate drop-off and setup details before your event.
Yes. Couples may choose Derby House catering or bring in independent food service. Independent catering is available with an adjusted venue rental rate.
The Derby House is best suited for buffet, station-style, small plate, and casual dining formats. Plated dinner service is not currently offered.
The Derby House provides wood-top tables and silver resin folding chairs for up to 100 guests. If additional seating is needed, rentals can be coordinated through The Derby House at the client’s expense.
