RUN OR BEWARE!!
If I could give zero stars, I would. We had our wedding at this venue on 05/25/2025, and while the space itself was lovely, the owner Amanda’s behavior was beyond unprofessional and completely ruined our night. The issue began when our bartender mistakenly opened a bottle that Amanda later claimed was a “display bottle.” That bottle was on an open shelf, mixed in with the rest of our liquor, and we were explicitly told earlier that we could not use the locked cabinets behind the bar. So, we did what anyone would do—used the visible space available. Amanda barged into our reception, red in the face and aggressive, and immediately began confronting my bartender in front of guests. She said, “That bottle has been up there for months and no one else has touched it,” and told me “your bartender served it to guests.” I calmly asked, “Is there anything we can do to deescalate this?” She responded coldly, “Well, you’re going to lose your deposit.” I replied, “That’s fine. If this resolves the issue, we’d like to move forward with the evening. This could have been addressed via email.” Amanda then said, “Well I’m just really upset.” I reminded her that everything else had been locked away and if the bottle was that important, it should have been too. I told her, “We clearly didn’t mean to serve it. It was a mistake.” Her response? She cut me off mid-sentence and snapped, “I’m not going to go back and forth with you. I’ll just call the police.” Even her husband, sitting beside her, said “Amanda, are you serious?”—yet she still picked up the phone and called the police on me, the bride, on my wedding night. No action was taken by the officers—because no crime had been committed. But the emotional damage was done. Amanda’s actions caused our wedding to end early at 11:30 PM, though we were contracted to have the venue until 2:00 AM. My guests were confused. I was embarrassed. And we were forced to pack up early on what was supposed to be one of the most important nights of our lives. To add insult to injury, unlike every other couple I’ve seen on her venue’s social media pages, we were not featured or acknowledged in any way. We strongly believe this may be due to the color of our skin. That, combined with her comments about “watching the event on camera” and texting/calling me all night, left us feeling surveilled rather than celebrated. If Amanda had handled this professionally—maybe called my coordinator or addressed it after the event—we wouldn’t be here. But instead, she inserted herself into the middle of our celebration and turned what should have been a joyful night into a traumatic one. To any future couple: please take this as a caution. The venue may be beautiful, but Amanda’s conduct was controlling, invasive, and inappropriate. This is not someone you want involved on your wedding day.
Beautiful Venue
This venue is breathtaking! The bride and groom suites are the epitome of classic elegance. The space is stunning with elegant décor and plenty of natural light, creating a magical atmosphere. If you're looking for a gorgeous, stress-free place to get married, I highly recommend Dahlia!
