Built in 2007 and remodeled in 2022, The Barn at Sunrise Farms sits atop Sand Mountain overlooking the hills and valley of North Georgia. The Barn features a Gazebo out back which is perfect for the fairytale wedding you’ve dreamed of and across the road is a bluff view allowing for beautiful photos!

Think Twice
I do not recommend this venue. There was unnecessary stress the months leading up to my day as well as the day of my wedding. One of the first problems was in July when I texted the owner, Christy, asking if my increased guest count would work. When we previously discussed my guest count of 125, she said that would work and there would be no worries. My guest count increased to 150 and I asked if this would be pushing it. She responded saying she could only fit 80 in the venue and acted like this was always the plan. Three months before my wedding she told me my original guest count (which she said would work) would not work. It made the rest of my planning a terrible time. She was also our florist. We thought this would be a great idea. The night before the wedding, we arrived to a venue that was not even close to being set up. We paid for set up and clean up, and we did almost all of it ourselves. We set the tables, swept HUNDREDS of dead crickets outside, set up food tables, and a ton of other things we should not have. While at the time I understood she did not have transportation to get there (car trouble) she did not send anyone else the night before the wedding. I told her getting there early the next day would be fine. She did not arrive to the venue until around 12 or 1. My ceremony was at 5. When I messaged around 9 that morning, she didn’t respond. When I called her four times, she also did not answer. She never returned my calls. Ignoring the bride’s calls on her wedding day is extremely unprofessional. We set up everything except for the center pieces, even the chairs. Bridesmaids and groomsmen were wiping water off of chairs and moving them inside while family fixed chairs outside in the ceremony space. When she arrived with the florals around 12 or 1, she set them up, and within 30 minutes she was gone. She barely spoke to anyone and did not check on us. My arbor was missing half the flowers but certainly was not missing half the cost. She did send someone to help set up after she left, leaving that person to do it all with centerpieces and tablecloths. There was also a gigantic blue dumpster sitting outside near food, and it was unable to be moved. Please think twice before booking this venue. Although we still had a great time, there was unnecessary stress the time leading up to and the day of the wedding.

Beautiful venue
Christy was so thoughtful and thorough and made sure everything was wonderful for the day of the wedding. She also owns a floral shop and is able to do your flowers for the wedding. They were absolutely gorgeous. It was everything I wanted it to be. The mountain view at sunset was stunning and I couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend!

The Best Wedding Experience
We absolutely loved using The Barn at Sunrise Farms for our wedding! The Venue is gorgeous and has everything you need even equipped with a kitchen in the upstairs bridal suite which is nice when you’re spending the majority of the day there. The downstairs area was perfect for our reception and it was absolutely beautiful with their gorgeous farmhouse tables. The outdoor ceremony set up made for a beautiful backdrop as we said our vows. Because of the ease and comfort of working with the owners and the venue itself, everything was perfect and our day was everything we dreamed!
