About this venue

A rooftop venue overlooking the historic Ponce Hall Courtyard and all of downtown St. Augustine – your guests will be blown away by the views! It includes a round window-lined space along with two outdoor terraces that are excellent for cocktail hour and dancing. Seats max 120, however adding indoor space for buffet, etc., we recommend 80-100. For a reception rental on a Saturday, this venue is $10,500 and includes gold chivari chairs and tables. Available Year-Round on select weekends.

The Jewel on the Top of the Building

The centerpiece of the Solarium is a vaulted dome, supported by eight square columns, with a skylight at the top. This interior 55-by-50-foot room with boasts sliding windows to view Ponce de Leon Hall's Courtyard. There are two open-air terraces on the east and west, each with a rising tower. with views of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, the city plaza, Cathedral Basilica, beaches, and the Lighthouse. Your guests will be stunned by the views!

Rental fees are based on a five-hour event. Events held in the Ponce de León Ballroom and Solarium must conclude by midnight. Events held in the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum and Markland House must conclude by 10 p.m. After the five hours, an hourly overtime charge will be in effect for each hour or portion thereof.
A deposit of 50% of the rental fee is required to book your event. The remaining amount is due 30 days prior to your event’s date.
Flagler College requires our in-house catering services along with, at minimum, day-of services from one of our approved wedding planners. All other vendors such as photographers or florists are not required to be chosen from our list.
Yes, all applicants are required to sign a contract and provide a Certificate of Liability in the amount of $1,000,000 naming Flagler College and its Board of Trustees, 74 King Street, Saint Augustine, Florida 32084, as “additionally insured.” The Certificate must be received by the College at least thirty (30) days prior to special event.
There can be two events at the same time but never in the same building.
Smoking is not permitted at any time in any of the Flagler College facilities. The designated smoking areas are outside at least 50 feet away from any doorways.
All of our venues are wheelchair accessible.
The College is set in the heart of historic St. Augustine. Onsite parking is available but limited. The Historic District parking garage is within walking distance of the Ponce de Leon.
You can choose whatever vendor you wish. In addition, if liquor is to be served, rental parties will also be required to sign a liquor contract. Contracts are not negotiable.
