Do you charge more for "peak season"?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not charge more for "peak season". Our charges vary by day of the week. We give a discount for having a wedding on Mondays or Thursdays, for example.

Question 2

Can we use our own vendors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you may use your own vendors. We have a curated list of professional vendors that we make available to you, but you are not required to use them. If you use your own caterer, we do require the appropriate licensures / certifications and insurance.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you may bring your own alcohol. Servers must be TABC certified, and we require a minimum of 2 officers during times when alcohol is served regardless of who is serving it. A listing of local guidance on officers will be provided.

Do you have on-site parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have on-site parking within steps of the venue. We do not charge for use of our parking lot. 35 day passes are issued to the on-site parking lot, and the home comes with another 10 spaces. All homes that are rented, in addition to the one provided to get ready, come with 10 parking spaces.

Do you have accessible facilities?

Yes. Both the beachfront and the bayfront ramps, as well as the reception area and pavilion area are wheelchair accessible. The luxury home provided for getting ready has an elevator that fits most wheelchairs. All Seahorse Beach Weddings accommodations homes come with elevators. A beach wheelchair is available at no cost with advanced notification.

How many hours are included in our booking?

Your reservation is 12 hours. Unlike most venues, we only book one wedding or event in a day. The whole day and the staff are focused solely on the program that you determine during that time for your wedding, Baraat, reception, exit to honeymoon and other functions that you require to make your day your dream wedding. We put out cabanas and issue 16 day passes to the entertainment pavilion plus 8 added passes for every rented home. Thus, while you are getting ready, changing attire, or enjoying other activities, your guests can enjoy the resort-like amenities.

How do we get to your venue from the nearest airport?

Our venue is located only one hour from Hobby Airport and approximately 1.5 hours to Houston Intercontinental Airport. We are approximately 1 hour South of Houston and 10 minutes from Galveston Island (Follet's Island is a separate neighboring island).

Do we need to get insurance?

Accepted Answer

No. However, we do require vendors to be insured and have appropriate certifications and credentials. Additionally, though we do not require wedding insurance, it is highly suggested as it is an inexpensive way to have peace of mind.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. As we are a coastal venue, we allow movement of a wedding date to another available date in the event of a named storm (tropical storm or hurricane).

Are you pet-friendly?

Yes! Your beloved dog has been by your side through every chapter of your love story- why leave them behind on your most important day? We are proudly dog-friendly, so your four-legged best friend can be a part of every moment, from getting-ready cuddles in your private beachfront home to a sweet stroll down the aisle. No kennel. No goodbyes. Paw prints in the sand and doggy smiles in your photos. We welcome well-behaved, leashed doges and can help with water bowls, relief areas, and pet-friendly accommodations. What’s included in your starting rental fee?

Beachfront venue with chairs and custom-made trellis that you may decorate to your liking. Reception tent, chairs and tables. Set-up, take down and day of coordination. All day access to a well-appointed luxury 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom beachfront home adjacent to the venue with dedicated bridal and groom's party spaces with internal elevator, bridal party refreshments. Parking (see parking section), 16 Beach Club possess, luxury restroom suites strategically placed for convenience and away from photos. On-site management to ensure seamless enjoyment.

What is your peak season?

We do not charge based on the season; however, certain months are more in demand than others. Those months are generally May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. Given we are the only venue combining beachfront services, reception, and luxury accommodations all in one on the Texas Gulf Coast, that also includes wheelchair accessibility and pet-friendly accommodations, we suggest that you reserve your preferred date as soon as you know it regardless of the time of the year.

What is your off-peak season?

We do not charge based on the season. Given we are the only venue combining beachfront services, reception, and luxury accommodations all in one on the Texas Gulf Coast, that also includes wheelchair accessibility and pet-friendly accommodations, we suggest that you reserve your preferred date as soon as you know it regardless of the time of the year.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

We use engineered, commercial tents specifically selected for Gulf Coast conditions. Professionally installed and secured, they are designed to withstand wind and rain up to the velocities addressed in our Named Storm Policy. (See our FAQ on Named Storms). Because our tents can accommodate up to 300 guests, most ceremonies can be seamlessly relocated under cover while preserving your planned aesthetic and guest experience. For light sprinkles and passing showers, we provide clear, beach-appropriate umbrellas that keep guests protected while maintaining unobstructed views and photo-friendly sightlines, in addition to a covered pavilion.

What do you do in the event of a named storm on my wedding date?

We are committed to delivering the wedding of your dreams. In the rare event a named storm occurs on your scheduled date, you may exercise a one-time option to reschedule to another available date. Please see our Named Storm Policy for full details.
