About this venue

The San Jacinto Monument, at 570 feet, is one of the finest examples of Moderne (Art Deco) architecture in the United States. Today, the world's tallest war memorial provides a historically rich and unique location to host the party of the century or an intimate gathering. Our private event spaces set the scene for your corporate receptions, weddings, or nonprofit fundraisers. The Battleground site offers a serene backdrop to make your next event one to remember. From the grand oaks trees to the reflection pool, you and your guests will be surrounded by history. The spacious grounds can accommodate small to large groups without feeling crowded.

Located inside the Monument, the museum lobby and exhibit halls surround guests with over 186 years of history. The room is flanked by natural limestone and elegant marble floors. You can seat between 100-150 for a seated or standing reception. The lobby is ideal for wedding receptions, large gatherings, or corporate events.

This venue was absolutely amazing! They catered wonderfully to our needs and the space was absolutely beautiful! The cannon blasts were a great addition! Thank you so much, Juan!

The Museum allows you to have wine, beer, and alcohol at your event. We do not have a liquor license and require all alcohol to be contained in an open bar set up. All alcohol must be served by at TABC certified bartender. We do not allow beer and hard alcohol only events.

We believe your food selection is an important part of your special day. Take a look at our highly recommended list of preferred caterers. You are welcome to bring in any caterer you wish however we do require that all caterers are pre-approved, insured and complete an on-site walk-through with the Event Manager 30 days prior to your event.

A 20% non-refundable deposit and signed rental agreement are required to secure your date. Personal checks, credit cards, or cash are all accepted. The final balance is due 7 days prior to your event date.

Absolutely. Many of our weddings host both the ceremony and reception. We have a beautiful Museum Lobby, Monument Terrace, or state-of-the-art theatre that can accommodate a ceremony if your guest count is between 50-150.

Yes. A 1-hour time slot can be scheduled 2 weeks prior to your event based on availability.

Yes. Your DJ and/or band are required to bring their own speakers, special lighting and set up.

We provide at least two security officers during your event to keep your guests safe.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
