From the moment we reached out to Pretty Bird Weddings and Events, Tamara was quick to respond and help us plan our special day. The venue itself is stunning, and we were blown away by how they handled the curveballs that came our way. When rain threatened our outdoor ceremony, they pivoted seamlessly to set up both the ceremony and reception inside their barn—and honestly, it turned out to be even better than we imagined. The intimate atmosphere created by moving inside felt perfect for us and our guests. Our day of coordinator Betsy (who is the recommended coordinator for the venue) was fantastic and truly made the day flow seamlessly in a way we never could have dreamed. We also booked the venue the night before so we had plenty of time to set up - which I highly recommend to anyone booking here. It made the day of so much less stressful and made the rehearsal dinner so cozy! We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we're so grateful to the Pretty Bird team for making our day absolutely perfect.

Perfect Venue

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue for our wedding! Pretty Bird Weddings and Events offers breathtaking views and the added bonus of a lodge to get ready in and even spend the night. Tamara, the venue director, and Betsy, the event coordinator, were incredible throughout the entire planning process - helpful, responsive, and truly invested in making our day perfect. We loved having the freedom to choose our own vendors, though we did end up going with some of their preferred vendors, Pacific Northwest Catering and Karr Productions, and they were fantastic. From start to finish, this venue and team made our wedding experience stress-free and unforgettable.

Beautiful venue

Pretty Bird Weddings and Events was the perfect venue for our special day. From the moment we first reached out, they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. The space itself is absolutely beautiful - the reception area was the perfect size and truly gorgeous, with lovely decor and lighting. Being able to use the charming house on site was such a bonus, as it allowed us to spend more quality time with our family and friends before the ceremony. The team was also very efficient, ensuring the setup was completed in a timely manner. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our wedding, and we are so grateful to the Pretty Bird team for helping make our day so memorable.

I want to share my experience because I believe future guests should be fully informed before booking this venue, especially if they are planning an outdoor event\. I rented this property specifically for my wedding celebration\. From the beginning, I communicated in writing that my wedding reception would take place outdoors in the backyard\. I also had conversations through Airbnb regarding hosting approximately 130 guests and renting chairs and tables for the event\. Before booking, I was provided with a contract stating that there was no specific end time for the event and no stated music\-time restriction\. During the property tour, I was also told there was no set time at which the celebration had to end\. Based on that information, I planned my wedding accordingly, including having the DJ and music outside\. At approximately 10:30 PM on the night of my wedding, a neighbor entered the property and approached our DJ asking him to lower the music\. This person was not a guest and was not the property owner, which made several of us extremely uncomfortable\. My husband respectfully asked him to leave the private event and to contact the property owner or authorities if he had any concerns\. We lowered the volume\. Later, during a short portion of our celebration, the music was turned up somewhat, and the police eventually came to the property after additional noise complaints\. The officer was very respectful and explained to us that the property owner had contacted him and wanted the celebration stopped\. We were told that the owner had said the music needed to end, that guests should leave, and that my security deposit could be withheld if the celebration continued\. We were also told she was prepared to come to the property herself\. The officer handled the situation professionally and did not force our guests to leave\. However, by that point, the atmosphere of our wedding had completely changed\. Guests became uncomfortable and several began leaving because of the situation\. What disappointed me most was what I learned afterward\. When I contacted the owner the following day and explained that the contract did not state a music cutoff time or event\-ending time, I was told that the contract between us did not override county noise regulations\. I understand that local laws and regulations always apply\. My concern is that I rented this property specifically as an event venue, clearly stated in advance that my wedding would be outdoors, and was never informed that outdoor music could become an issue after a certain time\. I was then told that this was apparently the first event they had hosted in the backyard\. That is information I believe should have been communicated to me before my wedding\. Had I been told that outdoor events had never been tested there before, or that neighbors were likely to complain about music after a certain hour, I could very easily have moved the DJ and later portion of the celebration indoors\. The owner did ultimately return my security deposit, which I appreciate\. However, returning the deposit does not change how uncomfortable and upsetting the end of our wedding became\. A wedding is a once\-in\-a\-lifetime event, and having an uninvited neighbor entering the celebration, police arriving, guests becoming worried, and being told through law enforcement that the owner wanted the event ended was not how we expected our night to conclude\. My biggest recommendation to the owners is to update the contract and event policies so that future guests are given a clear outdoor music cutoff time, noise expectations, and information about whether events are realistically suitable for the backyard\. The property itself may work well for certain events, but based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone planning a wedding or outdoor celebration get every detail regarding outdoor music, quiet hours, neighbor restrictions, and event\-ending times confirmed in writing before booking\.

We recently hosted my husband’s retirement celebration at Pretty Bird, and honestly can’t recommend it enough. The property is stunning, peacocks wandering, gorgeous views, and that peaceful close-to-nature feel, but with all the comforts you want. One of my favorite parts was how the space balances intimacy and openness. It feels personal and connected, so you can really be with your people, but it’s also spacious enough that even with a big group, no one feels crowded. We stayed in the bridal suite. It was amazing. The barn was the perfect setting for our event. And Tamra is a gem. She’s kind, responsive, accommodating, and made everything easy. Pretty Bird isn’t just beautiful, it’s a place that invites you to slow down, connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories.
