How much time are we able to set-up & tear down for our Event?

Accepted Answer

The Grand Ballroom access is guaranteed (2) two hours prior to the event start. Tear down is (1) hour after the end of of the event. Arrival for set up may start as early as 10 am, as long as Moorpark Country Club (MCC) has no other events in the early part of the day. This can be secured approximately (10) days prior to the event. Additional rental hours can be secured at $500/hour

Do you have a wedding suite?

MCC has a Bridal Suite that can be used for dressing, hair, makeup, and storage during your event. Our Bridal Suite is cozy; therefore, we encourage everyone to get ready at an offsite location, while leaving those final touch-ups to be completed at MCC

Is there a dressing room for the groom?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not. However, special arrangements can be made through Catering for an additional fee.

Question 4

Which restrooms are accessible to event guests?

Accepted Answer

There are restrooms specifically for banquet event guests located in the hallway near our Grand Ballroom. These restrooms are private to your event. Other guests of the club and restaurant will not have access to these restrooms.

Question 5

Is the service charge a gratuity for the event staff?

Accepted Answer

This fee is an administrative fee, and it is applied to payroll—which is why it is taxed by the state. If you would like to add a gratuity for the service staff, that is welcomed and appreciated. This amount can be given in cash in an envelope to the Sales or Banquet Manager. If you would like to apply the gratuity to the final bill prior to the event, that is also an option

What is the venue curfew?

In the ballroom—Sunday through Thursday, curfew and noise ordinance require events end at 11pm. Friday and Saturday, the time is 12am. Outside, the curfew and noise ordinance require events to end at 10 pm Sunday through Thursday, and at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Do you have stage/ risers and stairs?

MCC has (4) risers that are 8' x 6' for each section. The rental fee is $250/section. MCC has (2) sets of stairs. The risers and steps are black.

Do you allow amplified music or live music?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we allow either of these options until the curfew times as previously mentioned.

Question 9

Do you require a Wedding / Event Coordinator?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Moorpark Country Club requires at least a day-of coordinator to ensure that your special day runs smoothly; this will allow you and your guests to have the peace of mind that everything will be taken care of. We strongly recommend that you choose one of the coordinators on our preferred vendor list. If you would like to select someone, not on our list, you will need to seek approval from MCC's Catering Department.

Can I use my own vendors?

You are welcome to choose your own vendors; they must be licensed and be approved by the MCC Catering Department. Keep in mind that MCC has curated a list of amazing vendors who are triedand-true at our venue. They are familiar with every aspect of events at MCC, and they have built a trusting working relationship with our staff.

Liability Insurance:

All vendors are required to provide a General Liability Insurance Policy. The Policy must name ARIJI MOORPARK L & D, LLC. DBA as Moorpark Country Club and its subsidiaries and affiliates as additional insured for the Day of the Event. This document is due to Moorpark Country Club (10) days prior to Event date.

Am I allowed to bring any outside alcohol?

Accepted Answer

Moorpark Country Club does not allow outside alcohol. The only exception is client provided wine that is approved by the Sales and Banquet Managers per your contract. A corkage fee will be applied.

Question 13

Does MCC provide shots or double pours at the event bar?

Accepted Answer

Moorpark Country Club policy does not allow shots or double pours at the Event. Moorpark Country Club reserves the right to refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to anyone who we, in our sole discretion, determine is intoxicated, impaired or under the age of 21. If shots are requested prior to event, additional fees may apply. We kindly ask you to inform your guests of this policy.

Do you require security?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we require security to be present for events with more than (35) young adults (ages 12-18). MCC has a preferred contact on our Preferred Vendor List. This is to be arranged direct from client to vendor.

Question 15

Is there a food tasting for my menu?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Moorpark Country Club provides a tasting meeting for wedding events. This is complimentary for (2) two people, and if you wish to bring more guests, then there will be a $20 per person charge. We offer a standard tasting menu, which is meant to be a sampling of the delicious food our chef provides, not a tasting of the entire wedding package menu. This tasting will be scheduled approximately (90) days prior to your event.

What are the next steps after booking?

Accepted Answer

Once you have signed your contract, paid your deposit and receive a counter-signed copy with deposit receipt, MCC Catering will be out approximately (90 Days) prior to your event date. Approximately, (3) weeks prior to your event, your coordinator should provide a timeline, "first pass" diagram, vendor liability forms, and additional details. If the (3) weeks cannot be met, then aspects of the event, including final guest count and payment is due (10) ten days prior to the event. This is completed in the form of a cashier's check or credit card.

What happens if it rains on the event day?

You are welcome to hire a vendor to provide tenting for the outdoor venue space for the event day only. We are also able to move the event indoors, with some concessions on the layout. If inclement weather is predicted, we will work with you in the event week to make an informed decision on how to proceed

Question 18

Am I allowed to hang anything from the gazebo, the trees, or inside the ballroom?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you use zip ties, fishing line, or rope to hang any decorations. We do not permit the use of staples, nails, tacks, glue, or tape. If in doubt, please reach out to the Sales or Banquet Manager. If MCC discovers any damage to the property, appropriate charges will be added to the credit card on file, post event.

Question 19

Do you allow Outside Catering?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do. We embrace our Outside Caterers into our MCC family. There are fees and parameters that must be met. We strongly recommend that you select one of our preferred caterers. If you would like to select an alternative caterer, you will need to seek approval from MCC Catering Department. It is necessary for the Outside Caterer to participate in a pre- site visit at least (3) weeks prior to the Event. The Outside Caterer must provide their own kitchen and provide an equipment list to MCC for approval.

Do you offer kids and vendor meals?

Accepted Answer

Yes, these meals are provided at the client’s request. Eating off the buffet for Kids (2-12 yrs) and Vendors = $30.00. Moorpark Country Club also offers kid friendly meals and vendor meals to go.

Question 21

Can I drop any personal items off the day before my event, or leave anything until the next day?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, MCC cannot guarantee the storage space or security for your items any time other than the day of the event. The only rare exception to this is with special permission from MCC Catering Department. MCC will not be responsible for any items left here outside of the allowed timeline.

Question 22

Do you allow photos on the golf course?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with some limitations. The time for the photos must be discussed and approved, and there are specific locations MCC allows photos to be taken. Only the bride, groom and (1) one photographer are permitted to be on the course for a small period of time. An MCC Manager must accompany you at all times. We kindly ask that our MCC staffer be respected at all times, as there is always a safety risk when golfers are actively playing the course. A liability form must be signed by the wedding couple / host and photographer.

Are menu prices subject to change?

Accepted Answer

Menu prices quoted are subject to change, due to changes in cost of commodities, labor, taxes or other similar reasons subsequent to the signing of the Agreement and Host agrees to pay such revised prices. Alternatively, in the event of such increased costs, MCC may at its option, make reasonable substitutions in the menu items and Host agrees to accept such substitutions.

Vendor / Host Items:

MCC will not be responsible for any items outside of the agreed timeline. All set up, vendors and items must be removed promptly within (60) minutes after the conclusion of the Event. Any items left behind will be discarded by MCC. Outside Vendors are required return back to MCC (30) minutes prior to the Event conclusion to expedite the clean-up process.

Is there high speed internet access at MCC?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In our Grand Ballroom and Banquet Patio area. It is MCC-Banquets. No passcode is needed.
