The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art combines world-class art and stunning architecture for a venue unlike any other. Located in the heart of downtown Madison, MMoCA’s sophisticated spaces are available to host a wide variety of events. The museum’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden, Lobby, and Lecture Hall could be the perfect spot for your special occasion

Rooftop Sculpture Garden
The centerpiece of what MMoCA offers.
The Rooftop Sculpture Garden provides green gardens during the summer, and a beautiful view of State Street and the Capitol Building. The Rooftop Sculpture Garden allows couples to have 80-100 guests for a formal sit-down dinner; 140 for a cocktail hour; 175 for a ceremony facing the Orpheum or 230 facing the screen on the back wall.

Main Lobby
The Icon of the Museum is the perfect backdrop for this indoor venue space.
The Lobby is normally saved as backup in case you can't use the Sculpture Garden. However, even if you do use the Sculpture Garden, you can use the Lobby as well- some couples like having their wedding ceremony in the garden, come down to the Lobby for cocktail hour, then go back up once the space is flipped for the reception. This open space provides ample natural lighting for your event as well as photo ops on the glass staircase and vies of state street.

An exclusive rooftop view of the city
This space used to be a restaurant- currently MMoCA is searching for someone to fill the space, but in the meantime couples are able to rent the Dining Room via an addendum of $500. We inform couples whether or not the Dining Room is available between 1-3 months before the day of their event.
