About this venue
Our beautiful Chelsearose Ballroom offers over 6,700 square feet of flexible banquet space, accommodating anywhere from 10 to 350 guests for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, quinceañeras, and many other celebrations. We provide full-service, on-site catering to make your event seamless and memorable. The hotel features 135 spacious King or Double Queen guest rooms, each equipped with a microwave and refrigerator for added convenience. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the Rendezvous Restaurant and unwind in the evening at Scorzz Sports Bar & Grill, which offers dinner, cocktails, 13 HDTVs, pool tables, darts, and a TouchTunes jukebox. Additional amenities include a heated indoor pool, fitness center, and business center, as well as complimentary high-speed wireless internet. For added convenience, we also provide shuttle service to Mohegan Sun Casino.

Great Venue - Horrible “banquet servers” ??
We used the Holiday Inn Norwich for our wedding after party (marketed by the Holiday Inn as an AfterGlow), with the plan that we would pay for food, and guests would enjoy a cash/credit card bar. Coordinating with the banquet manager, Jessica, was a piece of cake (pun intended); flexible with start and end time, as well as what food we could preorder. HOWEVER, the night of, we arrived and learned that the bartenders were not bartenders, but rather, banquet servers. I wouldn’t think this was an issue, however, neither of the two could mix a simple gin and tonic; it was like we asked them to perform brain surgery. The worst part was that, upon us arriving we discovered that the two banquet servers behind the bar “closed the draft beers”by placing napkins over them. This was not supposed to be the case, as our BEO sheet indicated a full cash bar, and considering the banquet servers couldn’t even hold a liquor bottle over a glass and add tonic water, I would have thought they would have preferred draft beers. When I demanded to speak to a manager, the manager who arrived was extremely unprofessional, and it wasn’t until I pulled the BEO sheet up on my phone did he snarkily apologize. Anyways - Jessica, the venue, and food were all great…but I have no idea why their banquet servers couldn’t poor a drink, nor why the manager was so rude.
NASG Convention
We looked at a number of potential sites to hold the NASG annual convention in 2025. The Holiday Inn, Norwich was perfect, very nice rooms, a good amount of function space and excellent staff that did everything possible to insure that our event was fantastic!
