About this venue

The Balboa Inn is a lavish oceanfront wedding venue based in sunny Newport Beach, CA. Established in 1929, the venue has not lost any of its authentic coastal aesthetic, with Mediterranean buildings and courtyards. The courtyard is an excellent area to welcome your guests. It features potted palm trees and original handcrafted tiling, set to the sound of the Pacific Ocean crashing onto Newport’s sandy shores. The Terrace has a guest capacity of 200, making this a wonderful environment for couples to have a meaningful ceremony or relaxing cocktail hour. With breathtaking panoramic views overlooking Catalina Island and all the way through to Dana Point, this event space is a picturesque backdrop for any occasion. The Matera Ballroom can host up to 150 of your nearest and dearest and provides a wonderful space to say your “I dos” in grand style. The Matera Dining Room and its adjacent courtyard create a warm environment to host your wedding reception as the sea breeze flows through.

    I recently DJ’d a wedding at Balboa Inn and had such a great experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, right by the beach with a romantic vibe. The staff was awesome to work with. Super friendly and easygoing, which made everything really smooth on my end. If you’re looking for a gorgeous spot for your wedding with a team that knows how to take care of you, I’d definitely recommend this place!
