About this venue

Avonley Homestead is the perfect atmosphere to make your wedding or next event a dream come true. Tucked inside historic Shelbyville, KY just outside of Louisville, this venue is complete with secluded 9 acres of rolling hills landscape and elegantly rustic barn. We host small to medium sized weddings of 108 people or less, but can accommodate more in our vast lawn. The bride and ladies get a 2 story tiny house to prepare for the day while the fellas have a room attached to the barn. The 36x35 foot barn expands to a covered patio with ample space to spread out in the yard. The Barn

The barn may be entered through the large sliding doors, or from the porch via another doorway. Inside, it is defined by wooden features, high ceilings, exposed beams, and a spacious build. Tables and chairs can easily be arranged for approximately 108 invitees to sit, dine and dance the night away. The adjoining porch is often used for catering and drinks, or for guests to move to for some fresh air as the evening blends into night.

    What a stunning day

    Avonley homestead was so amazing and easy to work with. We used Dianna as a coordinator which she did such an amazing job helping us not only day of but through out our process curate our dream wedding. I could not recommend Avonley Homestead enough.
