About this venue

Old Main's contemporary style makes it easy to match any event's design scheme or decor. It is the oldest building on ASU's Tempe campus. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and Old Main offers a unique, historic venue in which to hold your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception. There are several perfect settings for an indoor or outdoor wedding, including the picturesque Old Main Lawn or the elegant Carson Ballroom.

Carson Ballroom

Located on Old Main's third floor, the Carson Ballroom offers itself as the ideal location for a sophisticated reception. The room features a high reaching, vaulted ceiling from which hangs several artful chandeliers. Its window fixtures allow ample natural light to penetrate the setting which is decorated in softly golden and cream tones lending it a welcoming warmth.

We offer multiple audio/visual amenities for your use in our venue including: LCD Projector, screen, DVD player and sound system, web and teleconferencing capabilities, public address system with wireless and wired microphone options. Your event coordinator will let you know if there are any additional fees associated with these items.
Room rates vary depending on the room your event’s specific needs. Room rates range from $75 to $3,000. Please fill out our contact form and an event coordinator will get in touch with you about pricing and more details on each location available for rent.
Parking is available in the conveniently located Fulton Center parking garage directly across from Old Main on University Drive. Additionally, we are currently working to contract valet parking services at the front of the venue on University Drive. Contact us for more information.
