About this venue

32 West Eighth is housed in one of the most architecturally distinguished buildings in Erie. Original woodwork, plaster-relief ceilings, and marble-blocked corridors provide a truly unique venue for your special day. The Grand Ballroom opens up to two-story tall columns which draw your eye to the festive plaster relief ceiling. Front is the stage where you can dine with a view of the festivities. The Ballroom's floor is a suspended hardwood that allows you to dance the night away! While larger than the Grand Ballroom, Arcadia gives a more intimate feel with a lower ceiling and stone columns with flickering "candles". The Peacock Fountain and Fireplace add a quaint, old-world charm to the space and is perfect for themed events. The Lodge Room is perfect for wedding ceremonies – its spacious floor and stately columns add an air of elegance to your wedding… and with your entrance down the staircase your guests and partner left in awe!

Our most elegant reception venue!

The Grand Ballroom has two-story high plaster relief ceilings located in the heart of the building. It features a hardwood suspended dance floor and elevated stage. The Ballroom also has an accompanying foyer for receiving guests, and Fireside Room for buffet or additional activities.

Our peak months are May, June, September, and October

Our off season is January, February, and March.

Yes, you will provide the alcohol and contract with our exclusive caterer, Cali's West Catering, for bar service. Bar service includes bartenders, mixers, glassware or plastic cups, napkins, etc. Cali’s can also help you determine how much and of what types of alcohol to purchase so that you don’t under or over buy. Once purchased, the alcohol can be delivered to Cali’s West on Harper Drive or 32 West Eighth to be stored and chilled by pre-arrangement.

32 West Eight does not have its own parking area. Parking options include on-street parking and the parking garage on the northwest corner of 8th and Peach. The parking garage is paid 24/7. You may reach out to the Erie Parking Authority for a discounted parking rate for your guests. Please ask our staff or contact the Authority directly for details.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. The 8th Street entrance is at grade and there are elevators to transport your guest to the event venues.
