Hi, I’m Betsy, owner and lead planner of Events by Betsy! I love weddings, and my journey started in college when I began officiating them as a side hustle. I noticed everyone floating around unorganized, so I naturally stepped in and took charge. That’s when I knew this was my calling. After 12+ years planning events for private organizations, I finally asked, “Why not do this on my own for weddings?” So I did! I love watching an event come together and being the driving force behind what my couples want to see. My job is to handle the details so you get the day you’ve dreamed of and can simply enjoy it. I know weddings from both sides. I started out officiating them, so I’ve seen exactly what happens when no one is in charge, and I’ve spent 12+ years planning events behind the scenes. I spot problems before they happen and keep everyone on track, but I never lose my sense of humor. I’m a positive, upbeat planner who believes a well-run day should also be a fun one. I take the time to learn your vision, then I advocate for it with every vendor. You’ll get a planner who is organized, approachable, and completely on your side from the first call to the last dance!

    100% Life Saver

    My wife (then fiancée) and I work long hours and planning a wedding around that is tough. My wife suggested a wedding planner and I of course thought why spend money on something we can do ourselves. We met with a handful of wedding planners and they all wanted to plan the wedding they wanted us to have, not what we wanted. And then we met Betsy. Betsy was personable, professional, and knew how to articulate what we were exactly looking for by listening. She was in constant communication with us and never once did we worry about vendors scheduling. The rehearsal and our big day, literally had no stress either the planning. Everything was in sync and perfect to the littlest detail. I’m happy to admit I was wrong about needing a planner and I’m glad we found Betsy. Highly recommend!!!
