I'm a wedding photographer who believes in harnessing and capturing genuine emotion- the kind that comes naturally from your relationships. My work is grounded in intentionality and authenticity, and driven by a passion for storytelling. My goal is to capture you as you are — in all your messy, beautiful, candid, show-stopping glory.
I believe that your photos should feel like you. Which is why I invest time and energy into getting to know you as a couple. Not only does this lead to artful and bold photographs, but it makes the whole process of being photographed more relaxed and, most importantly, more fun. That allows you to enjoy yourself and never fails to result in intimate photos packed with genuine emotion. Come as you are. I’m confident that you’ll be more than happy with the result.

Six to eight hours is typical for my full wedding day coverage. Additional hours may be added for rehearsal dinner, or other weekend events.

The absolute BEST wedding photographer!
I truly cannot recommend Melissa enough! We clicked instantly during my screening phone call and since the moment we hired her she's gone above and beyond. We were super nervous about having our photos taken for our wedding and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which really shows in the finished product. We were initially drawn to Melissa because of her work with film and we're SO happy with the quality of the images and the speed in which we got them all back. She even surprised us on our wedding day with a Super8 style camera to capture video! I would hire her again in an instant!

Even though her work speaks for itself, we cannot recommend Melissa enough! Her photography is incredible, and she is a joy to work with! We had a great feeling about her after our first phone call, and we were not disappointed. She was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process and was open to answering any questions we might have (even non-photography ones). She is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. We loved getting to know her during our engagement session. The photos turned out so well, which made us even more excited for her to document our big day. On the day of our wedding, she was patient and knew how to calm our nerves and make sure we felt comfortable in front of the camera. We were absolutely blown away when we saw our wedding album. She captured every moment -- even the small looks and glances. We will definitely be using Melissa from the Photobrief for all of our future photography needs!
