Second time using these talented photographers

We are now the second member of my family to use Happy Couple Photography. And six years on, they continue to do amazing work. They are attentive, responsive, and professional in communication and meet every deadline without prompting. We found their process and demeanor alleviated stress, and never added any. And on the day, they were detail-oriented and self-sufficient, able to work in the background calmly and yet somehow present at every key moment around the venue. It goes without saying, but we are so pleased with how the photos came out too. Happy Couple's particular knack for finding faces in their most joyful moment lets the full set immediately transport you back to the emotion of the day. I recommend them highly.

Captured the day

While researching wedding photographers, my wife and I stumbled upon HC's work and we knew we had to reach out. For our small wedding, we only needed one photographer, and Joe was everything we were looking for. We didn't need a bunch of portraits of the wedding party and family, and only had a rough idea of a post-ceremony photo-op. We basically told Joe to think photo-journalism and gave him complete freedom. We're so happy with the results. There are so many candid moments that you will completely miss on your wedding day, and his stealthy patience and perspective showed us things that we would have never noticed. He has a really fantastic eye and sense of moment. Communication was great, and his attitude was unrelentingly positive. He was the only non-local vendor at our wedding, and fit right into our little community.

Working together on a wedding we coordinated, was such a pleasure! The Happy Couple photography even printed out the shot list we provided and checked off each one to make sure nothing was missed. It’s always tricky to get every shot the couple wants, but they put so much effort into it, and the photos turned out simply gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Joe and Katye's photographs were of my dreams! We told them we were flexible, providing no shot list, and we were absolutely floored by the photos that we were delivered. We wanted to focus on portaits of us and then candids for the rest of the evening. The genuine moments they captured throughout the evening made me feel as if I was in moments I wasn't even a part of. The pictures truly told the story of the evening in a way I'll be able to relive the night easily forever. (They also compiled an excellent wedding album after the fact that made that easy too) These two are clear pros. Our wedding was in a location with a large amount of color and no windows/natural light, and every photo came out perfect. Their ability to capture that color in the photos was incredible. Beyond their incredible work, Joe and Katye are incredibly easy to work with and very responsive to any e-mails and questions. Our venue provided some roadblocks for photographers, and they worked with us to navigate those issues with ease.
