Hi! I'm Sydney, a light and joyful metro Detroit based wedding/engagement photographer for madly in love couples. Without boring you with too many details, this whole photography thing started in high school. I learned on a film camera and how to work in a darkroom and then on a DSLR. I haven't looked back since. My love for weddings and couples came around not too long before I got engaged and started planning my own wedding! Now, here I am a full time into wedding photographer getting ready to marry the love of my life and I can't wait to get you and yours in front my camera!

My goal is for you to leave your engagement session beyond excited to get back in front of my camera. I pride myself and my business in taking the time to actually get to know my couples so you're not posing awkwardly in front of a stranger's camera. If you walk away from your wedding photos feeling like I'm you're kinda quirky but super fun genuine friend, I've done my job right!

    Outstanding

    We worked with Sydney at a wedding and she and her partner were super easy to work with. Her communication was off the charts as we were in constant contact about what was coming next - first dance then cake cutting then toasts, etc. If there was a change in the itinerary, no problem; she seamlessly adjusted on the fly. Typically, couples book me about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
I include a second shooter in most of my packages. I have a handful of other amazing photographers I work with so its not extra work from you to find someone!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness in Lightroom to ensure they look beautiful!
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. I have a 24-48 hour turnaround for your sneak peeks and a 1-2 week turnaround for your blog post so you'll get to see lots of images in the first week after your wedding!
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing with 2 photographers. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
