Hey all, I'm Kristen! An equestrian and former high level sales executive who made a career out of a lifelong hobby. Photography is a craft that I've worked hard to perfect since I was 5 years old taking pictures of horses with my dads DSLR and I love that it is now how I make my living. You'll forget we just met as my wacky sense of humor keeps things light while I keep things on schedule in the background. I'm about to be a mom to a human - but have been a lifelong fur mom to a horse and doggo. I'm a huge nerd, wanderlust and gamer in my free time and love getting to share that passion with other amazing people. Can't wait to meet you!

I love being able to capture true emotion (the natural moments between couples) which means I don't believe in awkward posing. I will work around imperfect lighting conditions to get good quality photos and keep you comfortable. I use my weird sense of humor and outgoing nature to build a friendship with my clients that makes the day pass smoothly. Plus - my experience in the industry helps me manage your timeline and blips to keep things running as close to on time as possible.     THE BEST!!!

    Our wedding was insane and not in a good way.... Between family drama, broken down cars and our reception venue doing ZERO setup. She had to be not only our photographer, but also our chauffer, and wedding planner for the day. When we got to the reception venue and nothing was set up I just wanted to leave, but she got our entire wedding party and all of our guests to help her set everything up and within 30 minutes we were sorted. . . To top it all off the photos were top notch! I literally would not have stayed at our reception if it wasn't for Kristen. My only regret is not hiring her for our videography too, as her work there is stellar! We went with someone more established and regretted it after seeing our videos. Hands down the person you need at your wedding!!!

    Brilliant Photographer!

    Kristen at Sunsoar Photography was a brilliant choice for our wedding photography. She was confident, knowledgeable, and easy to work with in our early conversations. As we neared the wedding day, she challenged us to think through our photography schedule very carefully so as to be sure to include all the photos that we want in the most efficient way possible. When the big day came, she proved to be extremely flexible, calm, and helpful. We did almost all of our photos in the hours leading up the ceremony with only two large, family photos after the ceremony. She helped us navigate when to do what pictures and where; her demeanor put us at ease and enabled us to comfortably enjoy the photo times; Her help to expertly fix the bride's makeup after a sprinkle of rain as well as to remind us to eat and drink throughout the photo-period ensured that we looked well and hale for the ceremony. In short, Kristen made the whole photo process enjoyable and effortless on our part--we simply got to enjoy each other, our bridal party, and our friends and family without worrying about photos. Kristen would be our first and foremost recommendation for wedding photos in the Central Florida area.

    Book Her!

    Amazing photographer who got my camera shy husband to smile and look natural. We have the perfect photo of our family, including our cat Yota, that I will forever cherish. She made the process seem effortless. I’m so glad we trusted her for our engagement photos!

    Fun and easygoing!

    Kristen and her team are awesome! Very professional, very personal, and SUPER easy to work with. We've worked with her on a couple weddings and got along great. Highly recommend for the couple that wants to enjoy their day.

As I have a wide range of associate photographers available I am able to accommodate short notice bookings. However, if you are looking for a Saturday during peak season with our lead photographer (Kristen) we highly recommend booking at least a year out
Definitely. All final images (aka. anything we deem as quality) will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We also offer a limited number of professional retouches per package (ranging from 10-100 depending on length of time of your coverage) which includes services like blemish removal and teeth whitening. Additional retouching is available and can include body adjustments, hair adjustments and makeup as needed
I typically have an assistant with me at all weddings over 6 hours - these are not photographers and are there to help with set up, tear down, and gathering groups for family photos. Second shooters are also available at an hourly rate
My turnaround time varies by season but it is set at a maximum of 6-10 weeks in contract. Typically, I have a sneak peek on Facebook/IG of 3-6 images and an sneak peek album of 10-20 images that will be out to you within 3 days. The rest of your images will be delivered digitally through Shootproof once they are completed!
Yes! We offer video services to our photography clients and we offer a 10% discount on BOTH services if booked together! We have an amazing team, offer video at a very reasonable rate and offer payment plans! This has allowed couples who may not have been able to afford professional highlight videos to have a video of their big day!
You can expect about 60 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I deliver all images that turn out from your wedding day, if you are wanting to get as many photos as possible you should contract a second shooter.
I have only ever once been unable to show up personally for a wedding and that was a hospitalization following a serious car accident... which I hope to never repeat. In that event I had a backup photographer (my wedding photographer, actually) who covered the event in my stead. We are a small network of high quality photographers in Orlando, so we support each other when we need help.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability and for what amount, and I’ll send that over to them.
All wedding bookings require a 50% deposit up to a MAX of $500, the remainder must be paid 30 days before the wedding though we do offer monthly or quarterly automated payments as well... Just message us for details!
